Description
The J-Cradle design of the Yakima Hull Raiser holds any kayak securely on its side. You'll have easier access to gear stored in your boat, and more room on your crossbars for bikes, cargo boxes, and other boats. Universal cradle design fits any kayak. Includes two padded Heavy Duty Straps to secure theboat. J-Cradles mount directly to round or square crossbars, or to factory racks using Yakima Mighty Mounts (sold separately). The base pads are made of Dynaflex™ and the upper pads of closed cell foam, for protection of your boats finish.

Secure Kayak Carrier

These are well padded and very secure for multiple types and sizes of kayaks. I don't need the folding version, because the rack bars disconnect from the landing pads on my vehicle when not hauling boats. These are very reasonably priced for the quality of the cradles and tie-down straps. I almost lost a kayak using cheap pads and straps on the cross bars. Considering the value of kayaks today, the Yakima HullRaiser is a bargain.
