Having had a Tula hat in Montana (Ranch Hat), i knew the quality should be great on the LIFEGUARD HAT. I was more than pleased as thefirst one I purchased from Altrec, was for a man with Melanoma and he can have no sun on his skin during treatment. The hat is with him at all times, and for him there is "No sun in the sky." Then bought three more for guys that are onder the sun all day!. Now there are four, "No sun in the sky guys!"

Great hat. I look like the man in the yellow hat when I wear it, but it is excellent for beating the sun. This has become my go-to hat for fly fishing and canoeing. Think of it as a mini umbrella that you don't have to hold.

My husband bought the hat to wear while working outside running the backhoe and dozer. It will be very helpful with the MS sun and humidity, especially during June-August.

What an awesome, stylish, solution to blocking the sun. The first time I wore this hat I went to the greenhouse nursery. I was complimented and asked twice where I got my hat. Then later that day I was asked if I would consider selling my hat. What an attention getter, not only functional, the wide brim really shades your face, while also being great looking, and stylish. I was pleased that I chose to purchase this item. This hat is well constructed, comfortable and great looking. Not to mention the prize is right, five stars.

The white Tula Lifeguard Hat was just what I had been looking for down here in the deep south in Mobile, Alabama where we have 95 degree heat with high humidity, a tropical, thick, sweltering heat. The white color gives maximum sun deflection, the wide brim shades my shoulders and the back of my neck when I am looking down working on a/c equipment on rooftops in my work and keeps the sun at bay. The cotton foam band (inner liner), pleasantly surprised me when I saw the elastic stretch, which makes it fit snugly and better than any outdoor hat I've ever owned. It fits my head perfectly and stays put, even in high winds, the white palm straw somehow keeps my head cool and the inner band absorbs the sweat.... what a great hat, thanks Tula folks.

The hat arrived in great shape and in time. He was surprised and thrilled to receive it (His wife had told me he wanted this hat.) Haven't had time to receive a report yet. This hat is great for our New Mexico sunshine.

I live in Phoenix, AZ where the sun is pretty intense. I love this hat, it has a wide 5" brim that keeps your face out of the sun. I wear it when working in the yard, walking the dog, & anytime I want to protect my face from the sun.

The sweatband holds this hat securely on your head, even on a moving boat! It arrived slightly out of shape, but a spritz of water and shaping by hand did the trick to return it to its original shape.
