These sandals are nicer than the picture shows. They are light weight and well made. I would have given them 5 stars but they are sized waaaaay to large. We had to go from a size 10 to an 8 1/2. Unbelievable the 8 1/2 fits perfect. Otherwise, very nice sandals.

I have bad feet and these sandals are about the only shoes I can wear. I also put them on and take them off many times a day and they are easy to get on and off. Altrec prices are the best and ordering was easy and they arrived in a timely manner. I am very happy.

Sandal allows air circulation and provides the necessary arch support. The velcro tabs makes it easy to get on and holds the sandal in place.

Extremely comfortable, very tough sole, light and cool (temperature) to wear. Appears to be a very durable product.

sorry i had to return the altamont fisherman sandal.the sandals seemed wellmade and looked good but the width and the length were off. i have a narrow foot and the sandal only comes in one width = wide. i always take an 11 us or 44-45 eu but the length was at least one size too big.i've opted to try the timberland front country fisherman's sandal size regular width and 10.5 length as i really liked the quality and comfort of the sandal

I like these so much I'm on my 4th identical pair! These are my everyday shoes I wear for work etc. Ventilation is OK and they look more like shoes than sandals.

Excellent Sandal. I had a different version of Timberland sandal but they don't make that model anymore. This one is even better. More ventilation and very comfortable. I pretty much wear it anywhere I go.

I just received my second set; the sole of my first pair (purchased last year) finally wore through from so much use (a couple of miles every day). A fellow professor (here at the University of Cincinnati) has the same Sandal (larger size) and shared the web site with me.

I have been wearing these shoes for 4 years. I am so happy that timberland still makes them. They usually discontinue a shoe style after a year or two. The Altamont Fisherman sandals are comfortable from the moment they hit my feet. No blisters during the break in period. No discomfort at all. I wear them for hiking in the country or walking in the city. I wear them every day during the summer. I've tried many other fisherman sandals and none of them can compare to these.

I think I got my first pair in 2002 or so. Since then I have always had one. Today I have 3 pairs at home (just got one replaced after 3 years of wearing them all year long). I will be getting several more in different colors this year. Sandals are a little hard first few weeks (while new), but eventually they loosen up and you no longer feel them. They provide excellent ventilation for your foot and are very sturdy. I also like they they show/hide just the right amount of your foot. Bottom line - best sandals you can buy!

I have been buying these shoes for about 8 years and obviously I could not live without them. My podiatrist loves them too - they allow me to wear orthotics and yet still wear sandals.

Good shoe, just seems to run truly wide.

I've had a pair of these sandals for three years and wear them 6 months of the year. I've hiked in them all over the world and worn them for all kinds of activities from dancing at weddings to playing basketball. The sole is just starting to go.
