Not as Shown in Image
April 11, 2012

The jacket was different from the image shown. The zippers were purple instead of black and the jacket was in different shades of black, not one solid color. Also, the cuffs were molded but there were no adjustable cuff tabs. It was a good fit, but was also very thin.

excellent purchase
April 08, 2012

This jacket is thin, stretchy and very comfortable. I'm 5'4 125lbs and have a larger bottom/hips, I'm usually a Medium but i would recommend going up a size if you have larger hips because it is a little snug, other than that the jacket is perfect. My mother saw it on me and bought it immediately!! I would highly recommend this jacket it looks adorable on!

Pros: Great design, Lasts forever, Performance, Great value

very good
May 27, 2011

This was my first softshell and I was lucky to get it right the first time! The fit is great and I bought it for the fact that it is wind/water resistant. It can get a a little warm if you are doing a lot of aerobic activity, so you need a moisture wicking layer underneath. The only improvement suggestion would be the addition of some pit-zips, which are hard to find on women's jackets anyway. It isn't terribly warm, and you may want to add a warm layer if you plan on wearing it in less than 30 degree weather. Otherwise, this is a great option if you are looking for a nice softshell!

VERY thin!
April 11, 2011

This is a very lightweight, thin jacket. The texture resembles that of 'press 'n seal' without the sticky side. I am 5'5" and 110lbs and I ordered a small...probably should have tried the XS because it was roomy and the sleeves were very long. The length of the small was good though. I stood outside for a minute in the wind and most of the wind came through. This jacket may be good for a light weight running jacket, but that's not what I need it for...I'm returning it.

I love this jacket; it's perfect.
September 28, 2009

I bought this jacket as an extra layer for under my North Face Summit Series rain jacket and I'm so glad I did. I also wear it alone and have received many complements This jacket is perfect. Great style and fit. Though it is thin, as in not bulky, it is warm and cozy. I love this jacket.

Like it!
November 04, 2008

I really like it alot! The fabric is very nice, and the cut and shape of it are fitted. The one thing is that it is VERY thin. I was expecting it to be thin, but not THAT thin. Its still warm, though.

apex elixir jacket
April 16, 2008

I loved the cut and material of this jacket. Also the color branson blue is a very pretty blue. The interior pocket is located on your upper right side. I wanted a running jacket for colder temps, so I ordered this one to compare to the NF amp hybrid. Also was looking for an interior pocket. Not sure if I like the location of the pocket. I was told both are fairly equal in performance, decided to go with amp - liked the look better and it's cheaper.

Apex Jacket
March 21, 2006

Pros: I love the green color and have had many compliments, this jacket will be good for warm spring weather, the fit is perfect. Cons: Although I read other reviews saying the jacket was thin, I thought the people must be wimps. However, I was wrong. The jacket is really thin so I won't be able to ski in it unless the weather is warm with hardly any wind. I still love it though and don't regret the purchase.
