Whether you're on a 4-day backcountry ski trip or you're on the floor of your first apartment and too cheap to turn on the heat, you'll get a rejuvenating night's sleep in the cozy warmth of The North Face Cat's Meow 20 Degree Sleeping Bag. Filled with Climashield® Prism synthetic insulation, this mummy bag will keep you warm in below freezing, damp environments, and it still compresses into a manageable stuff sack. Inside is a soft and breathable silken nylon lining with a brushed tricot handwarmer pocket and footbox. Deluxe. High class features include a glow-in-the-dark zipper pull (yes!), a draft collar you'll love drooling on, and a pocket inside at chest level that is sized perfectly for a watch or a phone. Best value for the weight and temp rating

Compresses nicely. Not too heavy for a 20 degree bag. Purchased to mate to a long RH TNF bag. Comes with compression sack and nice storage bag for clean safe storage under your bed or closet. Easy to wash at home since it's a synthetic bag.

Pros: Build quality, Great value

It compacts and weighs as much as my down bag. It seems pretty warm but I haven't taken it out yet.

Classic, not impressed

Draft collar is too small and bunches up when collar and hood is drawn, thus being nonfunctional. The material bunches so much when you draw the collar and hood in, so as to be cumbersome, uncomfortable, and allows air in. The zipper draft tube does not seal as well as it could. It is an OK bag but not up to it's reputation. How the other reviewer used it a -5 is beyond me (the wood stove probably helped). It was easy to resell and I am MUCH happier with my Mountain Hardware Lamina. This is how a bag should be made.

The cats meow has been around forever and for good reason...reliable warmth and durability, at an affordable price.

Great Bag,, Excellent Value

I've a Cat's Meow since 1978. It was one of the best investments in gear I've ever made. Works as fine as when I bought it. Not bad for almost 30 years, it's lasted thru 3 stuff sacks. It has been all over, US, Canada, Europe, Asia;,never let me down. Although it is only rated @ 20 degress it has seen -5 F and did a passable job. The new Cat's Meow is lighter with more advanced materials but it keeps with the concept of a affordable quality bag.
