The North Face Big Shot Laptop Backpack

I finally bought a new big shot to replace the old one which lasted about 4 years of hard use. The new one has many improvements over the old one. First, the zippers are heavier and of better overall quality than my old big shot. Also this pack may be a liter larger than the old one, giving me more room for an additional binder. The computer slot is perfect and there is a piece of velcro on the inside to keep the pens, etc. from falling out. I would recommend this pack to anyone as a commuter bag!

there is enough room.. so I can put my down jacket and books very huge and very good daily backpack. Good design and very comfortable even if i pack it fully. Best for carrying laptop very safely and easily

I have had this back back for a few months now. I have not negative to say about it. its been through rain and shine with me protected my belongings. it carries everything feels great. I mostly use it for school and light travel, so i can not really speak to any other use then that. I sometimes take the bus to school, bike or drive and use it in all forms. i use it with a light load and packed completely and it has shown no signs of wear. the only thing I really dont like about the bag is the loops in the front i have no clue what they are for but everything else has came in handy .

Great laptop bag but a bit long for me, suppose to fit a 17" laptop. Padded back and strap makes for comfortable load. I liked the look of the front of the bag as well as compression straps all around . Overall a great 32L pack.

I like it. love it. my laptop is 17", there is enough room for my laptop, and a lot of funtional pockets. I believe that this bag is not only for laptop but also for hiking or school activity

After shopping several stores for a large sturdy backpack, I was happy to find this one. It has good weight distribution and large adjustable straps. It fits all my items with room to spare. It's built to last.

I'm in my second year of college and have needed a heavy duty backpack for some time now. I was hesitant to buy the Big Shot at first due to it's high price, but I'm glad I made the decision to purchase it! It fits all my books that I need for class, but the way the pockets for pencils and other small items is designed in the inside front flap causes the book bag to collapse when no books are in it. Other than this, the Big Shot backpack is a great choice and I hope to get many years of use out of it!

This bag was purchased as a school backpack. The bag is very nice looking and very roomy. It has many areas/pockets where you can store things from pens and pencils to cleats and uniforms. It has a padded laptop compartment. The straps are supportive and take away some of the strain of a heavy load. It was purchased for a teenager 5'5" and fit him great. I am pleased with the purchase.

Purchased for my 16 year old son. This backpack is sharp looking, durable, and large enough for a laptop and plenty of other supplies. The Big Shot backpack, like all Northface backpacks, is very well designed with lots of storage space and pockets. The Big Shot has extra padding on the back and great padding on the shoulders for heavy loads, which is a must-have for high school. Lengthwise, this backpack is somewhat longer so it may not work well for everyone, but with the "dudes" at school, it was a major hit.

Bought this backpack for my husband to use to carry his clothes and laptop to work with him on his motorcycle. He LOVES it! It is big enough to carry all he needs, but small enough not to get in the way.

Although I have not been able to test the durability of this bag, it looks and feels like it will last. Large capacity and lots of extras make this an excellent choice for anyone looking for a bag for normal use (like school) that can double as a bag for hiking/camping.

i usually dont review products i buy, but this backpack is really great! when i first got it i thought it might be akwardly big, but it fits fine and it holds all my books, which is what i bought it for! all the smaller pockets that are usually found on the outside of backpacks are inside along with the laptop holder which i personally like. also the material its made from is really nice and the pack itself is lighter than i expected. overall, i needed backpack that would hold all my books and laptop for second semester of high school as well as college and i got my moneys worth with this one!

As a firefighter and crossfit coach, I need to be able to carry gear with me at all times. I'm always on the go from the station to the box, to home and the North Face Big Shot has made this easy. With plenty of room for either clothes, some gear, as well as my 17" labtop, I can keep on the move and not worry if I have what I need to get through the day. I am in school as well and paramedic books are huge, but they fit no problem. The additional chest strap and waist strap keep the bag secure when I'm on my motorcycle and there is no lower back discomfort even when the bag is loaded down with 30+ lbs. of stuff. Doesn't hurt that the Big Shot looks pretty tough as well. Love this bag.

Got this as a Christmas gift for a friend. He uses a backpack to carry his laptop and accessories to work but also uses it for weekend trips. He immediately loved the design/look and features of this backpack! He's 6'2" and has mentioned having trouble finding a backpack long enough to fit his torso but this fit perfectly. I really like the straps at the bottom that you can adjust when you want to expand or decrease the backpack's carrying capacity. This way, the backpack doesn't look sloppy/overly large when it's not filled up. Definitely recommended!

Love the size - able to fit my large laptop and a good number of textbooks. Fits comfortable on my back even with a heavy load. I'm on the short side - 5'4", but don't have issues with the length. It is a large backpack but perfect for a day's load of school work.

I did a lot of shopping around but finally found a bag to fit my Cadillac of a laptop. I have a 17.3" Toshiba that fits perfectly in this bag. I'm only 5'2" so the bag is a little large for my frame but I found it to be perfect for when I have to carry the computer. The straps are great to downsize when I don't have so much to carry.

I guess the backpack is good for most as I saw almost no negative comments. It was designed well EXCEPT for the inner wall that has the pockets on it. It's flimsy and when I put all my stuff into those pockets, the wall flipped over when I emptied the pack and nearly everything fell out. What's up with that? As far as Altrec is concerned, I couldn't ask for better service. Received it in record time, exactly as promised. For my return, I just said that I needed to return the item and they gave me a return number and told me to return it. Can't ask for anything better than that.

Great backpack with plenty of room. It easily holds my laptop. The quality, typical of North Face, is first rate. My only criticism is that there is only one large compartment rather than two. It would be nice if there was a separate large compartment for the laptop only.

This thing is great. I use it for school, travel and hiking. it works great for it all. It's really comfortable and can hold everything you need. Easily fits my 15" laptop nice and snugly. I love all the pockets it has for keeping every thing nice and organized. it is a little bigger than I thought it was going to be but that doesn't bother me at all.

I was looking for a pack that was: 1)Comfortable with a good amount of weight in it (approx. 30-40lbs/14-18kg) and 2)Sturdy and durable. I've been traveling with it for about a month now *with a 15" laptop inside) and it's held up great. It's extremely comfortable on your shoulders, even filled to the brim with stuff. It's got lots of little pockets inside for gadgets, chargers and the sort. Highly recommended.

I love this backpack!! I was not sure that my laptop would fit, it is a 17.3'', but it fits well in the padded pocket. There is also a lot of extra space for anything else that I want to carry. Although I got this Bag for my laptop, after receiving it I now plan to use it for hiking and backcountry skiing as well. And the fast shipping was a great bonus!

After doing lots of research, I decided on this backpack because I needed one big enough to carry my law school books and laptops to school every day. It has plenty of room and still looks sleek. It is very comfortable to wear, even packed up with about 50 pounds. Very Happy and would recommend to anyone.

i got the big shot bag from altrec...amazing price. super fast shipping. this is a great backpack...plenty of room yet it doesn't 'look' bulky and huge. you can easily carry your laptop with clothes for a 2-4 day trip. Ive gotten lots of compliments on the bag. looking to purchase another!

Great backpack for a decent price on Altrec! Rides well, plenty of space, enough compression straps to keep everything tight. Sometimes the bag won't sit up strait if you set it down - It'll just slide down onto its front or back. That's kind of annoying. Over all, I'm very pleased with the Big Shot backpack.

Well-designed pack, but kind of bulky and on the heavy side. Good for a quick campus tote for books and computer, but not my favorite for carrying items a long distance. Also, the daisy chain decoration is kind of silly looking and has no function.

This bag was just the way I had expected it to be; it looks great (esp. the Toulomne Brown color), and it's extremely convenient. It has a large pocket for a laptop and it can easily fit in my 17" Laptop. It's got enough pockets everywhere for me to keep my things separately. It's a must-buy. I'd definitely recommend it to others.

Very nice features which makes the backpack very functional and some improvement from 2007 model. However, the zipper downgrades from a waterproof zipper to a water resistant one. It is good for carrying heavy load; for medium load the newly design back support may not be as comfortable as other backpacks. It is ideal for school use, esp. for day hike in warm to hot weather.
