Best spikes for running on ice EVER
February 27, 2012

I have been running on these spikes in the winter/ice conditions for the past 6 years. I just purchased a new pair (and love the fact you can replace the spikes when/if they wear down) For anyone who has to face poor conditions for running in the winter months, these are a must have (and I have tried a lot in the past decade) I tell all my friends about these...

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Great value

excellent product
April 22, 2011

I like this product mainly because it is lightweight but sturdy. Other lightweight similar products I had before break after heavy usage in one winter, but this one didn't. Also it is very easy to put on my different shoes.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use

I walk my two dogs everyday no matter the weather. I've started out with Yaktrax years ago, later switched to the Stabilicers made for wearing over boots. I thought these would be a great alternative for use over sneakers. a great product for walking plowed but icy streets.

Pros: Build quality, Performance

Just got these this season. With record snowfall on the east coast these have come in handy many times. Good quality, great product. They fit true to size and have kept me upright on icy sidewalks.

Great for walking and hiking
January 25, 2011

These fit my running shoes and hiking boots well--I was borderline on size so I got the bigger one. Recommend sizing up in this situation, the bigger size fit well. These did great on icy and snowy sidewalks. I gave them a short try running and I just don't see it. The metal bottoms clack along and aren't quite steady enough at a run to feel good about traction. I don't like the extra impact of the metal and would choose to stay inside on a treadmill. For walking and hiking--excellent!!!

Pros: Great design, Performance, Ease of use
Cons: would not use for running

Works Well on Ice/Snow
December 22, 2010

I bought these to run on icy city pavement during the winter. The cleats are a good price, and they do seem to grip in ice/snow. However, they are not comfortable on the sidewalk where the ice has been salted away (sneakers are much better). Also, if your shoe size is borderline according to the STABILicers sizing chart, I'd recommend sizing up. I wear a Women's 7 sneaker, but I could not get the XS to fit properly. The heel is much smaller than my shoe heel, and it did not sit flush with the bottom of my shoe. As a result, I would end up running on the rubber straps. The S is a little lose in front but seems to be a much better fit.

Pros: Great design, Ease of use

Excellent on ice
October 13, 2010

I wear these on the trails I walk in the winter where there can be a lot of icy surfaces, and the STABILicers Sport keep me on my feet! If I get in the middle of an ice patch I can use the cleats to grip the ice so I can get to a safer path...

Pros: Build quality, Performance

Great
February 22, 2010

I did a 1200 ft climb last week with ice, snow, slippery clay mud and rocks on the trail. Welcome to Northern Arizona in Winter! The Stabilicers Sport worked great on all of it - gave good stability on the mud.

Great fit and portability

I am an urban commuter and these are just the right size to keep in a backpack or laptop bag. They really come in handy when running for trains and buses on 'iffy' street conditions. I love these things

Stabilicers are excellent
December 30, 2009

I purchased these for my husband to wear when we walk our 95lb lab. Here on the west side of Michigan we get a lot of lake effect snow and icing conditions. My husband is able to walk our dog on the bike path with not problem. He is even wearing them when he snow blows the driveway because we are on a hill. Fit was great and no difficulty putting them on.

Durable and superior traction
December 28, 2009

This brand/model has worked great for running this winter. I run every morning with my two dogs on a converted rail trail. As snowmobiles also use the trail, the terrain ends up getting really packed and icy. With these devices on my sneakers, I feel as secure running on the icy trail as I do running on pavement. They're really great. And much, much more durable than YakTraks.

Awesome!
December 21, 2009

I love these for running in the winter! I didn't read good reviews on the Yak Trax and these looked more sturdy. I have ran 3 or 4 times with them on sidewalks with snow covered ice and didn't feel like I was going to fall at all. They are nice and snug. I would never worry about them coming off. I would highly recommend these.

Excellent traction!
December 17, 2009

These slip on Stabilicers are easy to attach to many types of shoes & boots. The studs are strong and grippy on ice and can be easily & inexpensively replaced. The small size is very small in comparison to the mediums. I suggest using mediums for womens shoes 8.5 & up, despite what the suggested size chart shows.

Tight fit but worked well
June 23, 2009

These worked great on an icy trail in Pennsylvania's Endless Mountains. I thought the trail was clearing up and took them off and promptly landed on my posterior. The Stabilicers went back on and stayed on for the duration. They fit very tight - don't be afraid to stretch them.

Love 'Em!!!!
April 21, 2009

They're sturdy, don't fall off and I don't fall down. I've gone through 2 pairs of Yak Trax this winter. Neither of them made it longer than a week. I live in an area that got 252 inches of snow this season along with a bunch of ice. STABILicers ROCK! All I can say is move over Yak Trax-you've been replaced!

Good

This is better than the one I bought before, better material and construction.

They work great!
March 02, 2009

The stabilicers work great! I used them in Maine last weekend...every imaginable condition existed! I felt confident walking on ice, through snow, over slick rocks....I plan to get some for my husband also.

They really work!
January 14, 2008

I bought the stabilicers for my daughter who lives in Couer D'Alene Idaho, lots of ice! I didn't think they would really help that much but she LOVES THEM and says she can run anywhere and anytime now. They arrived just in time on Christmas Eve! THANKS!
