Great Helmet
January 30, 2012
I bought this helmet to replace a Giro helmet that I'd had for years but was a little too large (always had to wear a liner with it). Great helmet, great system. Fits well, really comfortable. Soft plushy ear coverings are super warm - slide control for opening vents, and extra added bonuses of the "boa" adjustable system (so you can make it a little larger or smaller to accommodate different helmet liners or no liners for spring skiing days) and the integrated goggles/anti-fog system (it works!). Best helmet I've ever had!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of useGreat Helmet! Why did I wait so long?

On a girls ski trip last year one of the girls in our group took a nasty scary fall. I decided right then that the kids zipping around the slopes had the right idea - Protect the Noggin! My problem is I have a small head - even for a lady. My bike helmet, dive masks and swim goggles are all kid sized. I chose the Intrigue because it was one of the few helmets that you can buy in a ladies small, plus it was a pretty color and had nice feminine details. I tried it on the moment it arrived and was thrilled that it fit perfectly after a few minor adjustments. I was more thrilled when I took it skiing. It is lightweight, has good ventilation, is very comfortable and the cozy fleece ear flaps and chin guard keep you warm and fuzzy in the coldest windy weather. You will not need a hat underneath. This is a great helmet and I will never ski again without it.
Pros: Great design, Performance, Great valueTop notch helmet!

I gave a Petal Twill-colored one of these to my wife as a gift, and she is thrilled. Its adjustable fit ability makes it work whether or not she wears a balaclava. She loves the soft, comfortable liner, and she appreciates the vents that she can adjust on the fly so she won't get too cold or too hot (right, Goldilocks?) Her Smith Heiress goggles mate perfectly with the helmet, too, so that's an added bonus. Last, she really likes the subdued lilac-like color. Overall, it's a great coconut guard. I have a Giro Omen helmet (which is their top of the line), and I am jealous!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, very comfy liner, sweet color, great vent systemWomen's Intrique Helmet

Helmet is very comfortable and warm. Yes we still have snowfall in April! I no longer had the need to wear a ski hat under my helmet. Air vents wonderful, and fits well with my Smith goggles! Thanks

I was looking for a snowboarding helmet and a sales representative recommended Smith because it was lighter and better fit and he was right on. I've tried on helmets such as Giro and Burtons at the store and none compared to this Smith helmets. Smith is definitely lighter, comfortable and better fit. Plus the Intrigue version had vents that opens and closes depending on the condition and nice comfy fleece ear pads that helped kept my ears warm. Another great purchase to my snowboarding collection.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, comfortable, lightweightIntrigue

The Smith Intrigue helmet has a great fit, especially for my small(ish) head. There's plenty of room, but the adjustment feature in the back helps me be snug and safe! Easy to fit different goggle sizes as well.
Pros: Ease of useJanuary 28, 2011
This is SpiderC, NorCalNicy's husband. I was helping my wife shop for helmets; so I was trying them on to get a sense of weight and the way they fit. (I guess I should point out that I shave my head). When I tried on the Intrigue the fleece was so comfortable my eyes rolled back and I just melted into the helmet. My 1st question was why doesn't Smith put this lining in the men's helmets? We can actually feel the softness all over. My wife could only feel the fleece on the chin strap. I didn't really need a new helmet but after having the Intrigue & the Allure (which is called Maze in the men's model) caress my scalp I didn't want anything else on my head. I liked the feeling of the Allure but I went for the Intrigue because I like adjustable vents. It weighs a little more than the Allure but after a few minutes of wearing it, it just feels like I have on a warm beanie. I also recommend the Skull Candy Twin Tip. It works great w/my ipod & Evo Droid. In fact I am wearing the helmet and listing to tunes as I write this review. Really, I don't care that the Intrigue is a "woman's helmet". It's comfortable and functional. Then adding the tunes to it makes this helmet the Shiznit!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, music
