loose weave liner
November 25, 2011

These glove liners feel a bit on the thick side for liners, but the weave is loose and they don't feel to have that warm effect smartwool is known for. Didn't actually try these outside under gloves though. Returned.

Pros: Great value
Cons: Bad design, Low performance
Comfort: 5 / 5

Quality: 4 / 5

Nice gloves, but keep away from velcro
July 03, 2011

I bought these gloves primarily for backpacking/hiking in semi-chilly weather. Overall, they are great gloves but don't let them come in contact with velcro. After putting my hands in the pockets of my rainshell a few times I noticed significant pilling due to contact with the pocket's velcro closures. Of course if you wear them as liners underneath another pair of gloves you won't have this problem.

These are great liners, as are all Smartwool products. They are quite warm despite being light weight. Only problem is the fingertips start to wear with regular use under mittens.

Pros: Performance, Ease of use
Cons: Wears quickly
Comfort: 5 / 5
Durability: 4 / 5
Quality: 4 / 5

nice liners

The Smartwool liners are very comfortable and do a great job of wicking and that keeps your hands cozy. My OR gloves came with liners but I prefer these.

great liners
January 17, 2011

My hands are frequently cold and a pair of gloves or mittens alone will not keep them warm enough. I've used these as both liners for other gloves and mittens, and as regular gloves for when it's not too cold/windy. The wool makes all the difference, and the smartwool merino means they are very soft and not at all itchy. This is my second pair of these gloves. The first I used so much that I literally wore holes into the fingers. I think just the nature of a knit glove makes them more susceptible to being snagged, but if you are careful and mend holes as soon as you see them, they should last for several years. I also wore them a lot on their own and not as liners. Not sure if these are men's or unisex sizing. I wear a women's large glove and ordered a medium and they were plenty big enough.

Pros: Performance
Cons: Wears quickly

Great fit

I have rather small hands, and usually have difficulty finding the appropriate liners. I got these in XS and it was a perfect fit

Great gloves
December 31, 2009

I use these as a stand alone lightweight glove. They keep my hands toasty warm when I'm out & about. Doesn't get terribly cold where I live and these work perfect for my needs. I fully plan to buy another pair soon.

Perfect for Skiing
December 22, 2009

Smartwool glove liners are the perfect liner under mittens for cold weather sports such as skiing!

Lightweight and gets the job done.

Great for wearing as an under mitt in extreme cold, yet warm and DRY enough to take care of business on milder days. Fantastic buy.
