You'll end up wanting multiple pairs.
January 30, 2012

This is my third pair of smartwool armwarmers -- not because they've warn out, but because I love them. They are just the perfect thing for layering. I've worn them cycling in Europe and hiking in the Pacific Northwest. I put them on in the morning when it's chilly, and I take them off as I get warmer. They pack down to nothing and are virtually weightless and are really cute on. I can't tell you how many people have thought they were part of my shirt and asked where I got them!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

These arm warmers are great! They are made of a nice thick wool. They feel great and add a layer of insulation and their ability wick makes them even better. They even keep a lot of wind out.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

I love Ssmartwool socks, so I decided to give the arm warmers a try. I love them! They are fashionable and functional. Great for those chilly mornings when layers start the day and peel off throughout it. A five star plus.

Light, warm, and breathable!
July 07, 2011

it is light weight, warm, and very breathable. I have long arms and I wear this under sweater or a light jacket to cover my bare wrist and part of hands during cold windy San Francisco days. They are the best and a Must Have in your warm gear reserve. They do pill at the end of sleeves with extensive use as other have commented below.

Pros: Great design, Performance, Ease of use, Great value
Cons: Wears quickly
Durability: 5 / 5
Quality: 5 / 5

Wish I'd found these sooner
January 13, 2011

I got these to wear in school and in clinic. Depending on what room I'm in, it's either too warm or too cold, and very rarely just right. For the longest time I had to choose between dressing warm and possibly being uncomfortable because of it if the classroom and/or clinic was warm that day, or dressing down only to find the rooms were cold. With these, I just wear them and if it's too warm I simply pull them off. They are very comfortable and warm, look great, and make life a whole lot easier. I bought a pair for my mom, both my sisters-in-law, and a friend, and I may at some point buy myself a second pair. The only issue I have with them is that after wearing them for several hours, they start to irritate my skin some. I don't have this problem with any other Smartwool products (or the Icebreaker stuff I have). The material is definitely not as smooth as their other clothes, which is probably the reason for the irritation. Next time I wash them I'm going to turn them inside out, see if that helps at all. I'm 5'8" 145lbs and skinny arms and the small/med fits me fine. A little snug but in a good way. The sizing seems pretty straightforward.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value
Cons: slightly irritating
Durability: 5 / 5
Quality: 5 / 5

Love these
January 07, 2011

I bought a warm, cozy vest, which is perfect for cold weather, except that I don't want the bulk of a coat over it, so I bought these arm warmers to wear with the vest, They're made of a really nice natural wool, making them warm and comfortable. They're too tightly woven to fit well over loose fitting shirts, but they work great under them, like long underwear does under pants. They're great for indoors, as well, because they're not bulky at all.

Pros: Great design, Great value
Durability: 3 / 5
Quality: 3 / 5

alright
December 23, 2010

I fell in love with these when I first saw them. They are super cute and very convenient. My only complaint is that the material is "pilling" and creating little balls all over the arm warmers. I love SmartWool products and didn't expect this from them.

Pros: Great design, Ease of use, Great value
Cons: Low performance, Poor quality, "pilling" in material
Durability: 5 / 5

Great Product
December 11, 2010

I've tried other arm warmers but they weren't as comfortable as these. You hardly know they're on your arms. They keep your arms warm without any bulk. I used these to run when the weather was getting colder but not cold enough to have to really bundle up. I'm really happy with them.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value
Durability: 4 / 5
Quality: 4 / 5

these babys keep you warm and also change the look of your outfit quite a lot. They pack down the size of a pair of socks and take the chill off your arms without adding any bulk under jackets etc. Genius!

Pros: Great design, Ease of use, Great value

I have the silver pair and I get compliments on them all the time. The great thing is that because they are wool, they are warm - even if you get caught in the rain... and if you forget to dry them out - they don't stink! Gotta love wool. Can't go wrong and worth the price... great gifts too!

Great find

Love them! Warm and toasty, perfect with a t-shirt before the day warms up . . .
