I have owned 5 different headlamps from Princeton Tec and other companies with this model offering the most versatility and durabilty. Takes rechargable AAA batts providing hours of useable light. Never have used the colored filters but who knows might be handy for hunting? Minor issue is the weight but durabilty performance and water protection may come with that trade off. Like that lowbeam comes on with one click one off. Great all around headlamp

I have gone through tons if headlamps, some in less than one use. The Princeton has been continuously used for the past couple of months with no problems and all the small features that i need.
