Great Shorts
February 09, 2012

My husband lives in these. He has had a few pairs ever since I met him. He wears them around the house, rock climbing, hiking, mountaineering,... whatever. I don't know what he would do if Prana ever stopped making them.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

Great shorts. A little large, but once you get them dialed, a comfortable fit. Didn't last as long as I'd hope (1.5 years), so I'm onto my second pair.

Pros: Great design, Performance
Cons: Wears quickly

Maybe a bit baggy
October 27, 2011

Like most of the Prana clothing I own the material is quality, light weight and comfortable against your skin. These are a great pair of shorts for a yoga workout, or rock climbing. They are a little baggy for every day casual wear and they don't breath well enough to use for high aerobic activity.

Pros: good for climbing and yoga
Cons: baggy in the fit
Comfort: 5 / 5
Durability: 4 / 5
Quality: 5 / 5

These shorts are great for climbing! They are lightweight and comfy enough for best use on hot summer days and work great as swimming trunks! My friend and I climb almost exclusively with these on gym days. They are subtle enough to wear anywhere and are one of the most dynamic pair of shorts I own.

Pros: Build quality, Performance, Ease of use
Comfort: 4 / 5
Durability: 5 / 5

Good, not great
July 07, 2011

I have a mixed impression of these Prana shorts. There are a lot of positive and negative things happening at the same time. I like the super light, silky cloth, but wish it breathed better. They are comfortable, but very baggy which is probably great if you're under 20 years old, but a little questionable over 30 (I'm not much of a hipster). I bought at least one, if not two sizes larger based on previous reviews and the waist fits great while the legs are billowy (the bottom hem is somewhat tapered so at least the lower material has some control rather than flapping around). The length is longer than I like (2-3" below the knee for the XXL on a 5'10" person), but is fashionable. I've worn these running several times, but wouldn't say that was a good use for them. I like wearing them to play with my kids at the park and running errands around town, but prefer other shorts for running, going to events, canoeing, etc. Overall, these are very comfortable, albeit IMO overpriced, lounge/casual shorts that don't especially excel in performance areas. However, if I were 15 years younger I'm sure I would live in these shorts.

Pros: Build quality, Ease of use
Cons: Cost, Bad design

good shorts
June 22, 2011

The shorts are well made, but fits on the big side. The waist band fits very comfortably, but the legs are a little too wide for my liking, but I still wear them for yoga because they are easy to wash after sweating it out in a 90 min ashtanga class; just rinse in water and hang dry and they are ready for the next session.

Pros: Build quality, Performance, Ease of use
Cons: wide legs
Comfort: 4 / 5
Durability: 3 / 5

Liked them a lot more than expected.
May 30, 2011

Bought them for hiking and around the yard more than for any serious activities. At first i was concerned the fabric would scratch and not flex enough. After wearing a few times i was won over. Might snag a pair in another colour when my next pair of shorts die. Loving that these have no belt yet you would never know it.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance

These are the best shorts made for climbing! I've been wearing these for over 5 years and they are great. They are very durable, lightweight, and breathe well.

Great shorts - buy more than one
January 02, 2011

I bought these shorts for my husband as a gift, but it's his fourth pair, so I knew exactly what I was getting before they arrived. The fit on the Mojos tends to run a bit small compared to prAna non-elastic-waisted shorts, so my husband wears a sz M, even though he's a 30 inch waist, 5'8". He uses these shorts for rock climbing (mostly bouldering) and lifting workouts, but primarily climbing. The fit this time around in a M seems to be a bit more generous than previous versions, but I'd still recommend up-sizing if you've never worn this short and are uncertain about fit. The length is slightly above the knee. There are two side pockets and one back pocket, which has velcro. The fly is a false fly, so plan on pulling them down when you need relief mid-workout. The fabric is lightweight and comfortable. I predict if you own one pair of Mojos, you will eventually own multiple pairs

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, comfort

Great Shorts, BUT over-priced and under-sized
August 15, 2010

The are about as durable as it gets for a light weight short. Buy one size larger than you normally would and they'll actually fit great and be comfortable.

perf shorts

My eighteen year old lives in these in the summer. Perfect for a day of running, biking, rock climbing, kayaking and swimming all of which make up an average day in the life here in Boulder. Quick drying. Cool colors. Lghtweight for traveling. Can't beat 'em!

seems like they'll be great for yoga. haven't tried any downer dawgs yet, but just sitting around they're real nice... am sure they'll be good in action.

Good shorts
November 16, 2009

The only problem is that they're sized for super lean rock climbers so I found myself buying one size larger than normal. Other than that, great shorts for many activities.

Best all around shorts
October 15, 2009

These shorts are rugged, stylish, and supremely comfortable. I've worn mine to yoga class, rock climbing, to the gym and a cookout. I normally wear a medium short but found the large size of these fit me best. These shorts are super comfortable.

so great I'm buying three more pairs
December 14, 2006

Since I'd never seen anyone in person with these shorts before, I took only a small risk originally by purchasing one pair. They are so comfortable and the material is so great, that after one afternoon of wear, I am purchasing three more pairs on Altrec.

Comfortable shorts
November 05, 2006

Not the most comfortable running shorts (a little rubbing here and there), but a fabulous wind-block over bike shorts for daily commuting...

Comfy, Cozy, if a bit long.
September 25, 2006

These shorts are made of a great feeling fabric. Soft and smooth as a peach. Really comfy. They seem to run a little on the big side. As I am a bit long in the tooth, the long baggy (read: Turtle from Entourage) shorts look is a bit too hip for me. Fashion sense aside, these are great for yoga and just hanging around and they are a 10 on the comfort scale.

Very comfortable!
May 15, 2006

The Mojo's are just great all around shorts that are perfect for hot weather. I wear them on the racquetball court and on weekends walking my pet monkey. They were so comfortable that I bought two more pairs after this one!
