This dress is very cute for both days and evenings. It is machine washable, comfortable and durable. It is true to size (no need to size down). If you are large chested, I would not recommend the dress.

Very cute and very sexy; I ordered the coral color and it's lovely. I ordered a medium, which I usually am, and it's just too tight, and really revealing. I guess I was hoping to wear it around during the day, but it strikes me as being more of a 'night out' dress, partly because it's so low cut. However, like all Patagonia clothing it seems well-made and it's adorable. I might exchange it for a large.

This is a very cute dress that's both sporty and stylish. However, I tried this dress in two colors at a store and noticed an inconsistency in sizing. The black mosaic dress is cut larger than the peach-colored one. I'm 5'3" 108 pounds, with a 34A chest. The peach dress in size S fit perfectly. However, I preferred the black mosaic design so I tried that one in a S. The fit was very different; it was a lot bigger and gaped around the chest. I thought maybe it was just a flaw of the one that I tried on, but I tried several other black mosaics in S, and they all had the same loose fit. Unfortunately, the store didn't have these in XS, so I couldn't try that on to compare. I ended up searching for it online and found it on altrec.com. I bought the black mosaic in an XS. It's a wee bit tighter and shorter than what I would have liked. It doesn't fit me as well as the peach dress in S. I hope Pantagonia realizes this and fixes the sizing for the next season.

Fit perfectly. Other reviews said it gapped at the sides, but on me it was fine. It seems to be for larger-chested women, so if that is you, then it should be true to size. Beautiful design. Looks great, no complaints!

I loved this dress and REALLY wanted to keep it, but it is just too slim in the mid section. It is a great looking dress that will be awesome on really THIN women - I am 5'8 and 130, too snug in the middle for me. The color is beautiful and the style is perfect . I am sad to return. (the next size up was too big all over).

I tried this dress earlier on in the summer while away on vacation. I loved it but it was early in the trip so I figured I would be back to make the purchase. I never made it and was regretting it all summer. I was very excited when I found the dress here. I purchased the Coral and love it!!! The style is a slim fit. I normally wear size 4 so I ordered the small and it fits perfect. It is now the most popular item in my summer wardrobe. Versatile enough to wear shopping during the day, to an afternoon party or even out for dinner. Looks and most important feels great!! Overall, great purchase.

This dress is great if you like close fitting clothes. I'm about 130 lbs, and I don't generally like tight clothes, but this is clingy without being obnoxious. I don't think I'd go without a bra, but if you're bigger up top then you could get away with it. There is no extra material or padding though, so be prepared to have one layer of clingy material between your girls and the world.

The good: + excellent fit; I'm 5'7" and 140, the M was perfect. The empire waist and surplice top are very flattering. + very comfortable; the fabric moves in the right places and doesn't in the right places as well. It has just enough stretch without being thin or revealing. + well-designed; the straps and back are well-placed to hide a bra. + travels well; I shoved it in my backpack and it shook out without a wrinkle. + versatility; it layers very well. I wore mine (in the black & white mosaic pattern) to a memorial service with a cardigan on top, but then it served well for a nice dinner out afterwards as well. Also looks great with leggings if the weather is changeable. The meh: + it's quite low-cut, especially if you have any cleavage and intend to wear a bra. (But it's just fine with a camisole-strap tank top underneath.) + If you are leggy in proportions or on the tall side, it may be short for you. (I like to show a little leg, so it's perfect for me.) The wish: + The only way this dress could be improved is if it had pockets. Or one pocket. If it had a pocket, I would own it in every color and wear it nearly every day!

This is a great all around dress. I agree with other reviewers that it is a little low in front, I took up straps to fix this. I also got a ton of compliments on this dress. I ordered two!

I was looking for a dress that I could easily use while nursing our baby- this works great with a nursing tank under it! (And you can use if forever vs. purchasing a dress "designed" for nursing moms). It also hides my new mommy tummy -- I'm about to order another in black! : ) The medium fit perfect-- I'm about 5"5 , 140 lbs. right now...

Great fit, really classic design. I felt cool in this dress during some very hot weather this past weekend but I think it would pair well with a sweater in colder weather. I thought the neckline would be too low, but it was just right.

I wore this dress to a big party and got a ton of complements! I can't wait to wear it again. I bought the small in the anise/rosehip color. I'm 5'7" and have a slender frame. Overall the fit was fine. As with other reviewers, I found the cut a tad bit low (or straps a little too long) but I put a pin in the V cross over. I can get away without wearing a bra, but if the straps were a little shorter I would probably be able to wear one with this dress.

I purchased this dress (my first Patagonia dress) in the coral. It is a perfect color especially with a tan for our hot Arizona climate. I normally wear a size 6 and bought the Small and it fits perfectly. I can wear a strapless bra with it. It is pretty low cut so I tacked the neckline about an inch for more coverage. I am 5'7", 140 lbs, 34B. Two things that could be improved on: shoulder straps sometimes slip down and the bottom hem flips up sometimes. I've washed it once in cold water on delicate and hung to dry. I always receive compliments on it whenever I wear it!

I really love this dress-- the material is wonderful, the prints are fantastic, and it is SEXY! I gave it 4 stars because I had to have the straps altered to fit-- it was too big on top, even the size XS, though the dress ran tight everywhere else. But once I shortened the straps (also helped with modesty), the dress is perfect! It's a flirty, short length but a rugged material, so I know it will last. Not to mention I love patagonia nearly as much as prana!!! ;) Definitely don't regret this purchase...

This dress is well made, good lines, soft and slightly stretchy material. I sent it back, sadly, only because the straps down the back were separated a bit too wide, exposing my favorite black bra (Patagonia barely there bra) which would be so perfect under this dress if the vertical straps matched in the back. The front matched great with said bra. If your bra matches in back or you don't need a bra (I do) this dress is recommended for comfort, looks, style, sporty or classy. I ordered the black print and was pleased. I wish I could have kept it...so I give the dress 5 stars. As a normal 4-6 in a dress, I ordered the "s" it was comfortably fitted and extremely flattering cut for my 5'5 , 128 lb frame.

I am disappointed most of all with this item. the description doesn't say anything about being "slim fit" Well it was. If you want it to hug all your curves, then this is the dress. I was looking for more summer flowy feel. But it is was soft and the design was cute.

I loved the dress, but needed to alter it. There was too much loose fabric under the arms. After a couple of tucks, it is perfect, but most will not want to bother with alterations.

I am a big fan of Patagonia with only one complaint-the small sizes are generally a bit large for me so I order extra smalls (more like a size 2) which always fit perfect! I purchased this same dress in another color as well and found the quality and durability to be excellent. This is an ideal dress in that it can be dressed up or worn casually-very versatile.

This dress says "slim fit", so i purchased a large, instead of my usual medium (i am 5'7", 150 lbs). The dress is very pretty, and is of course high quality fabric and construction as you would expect. The waist and hips fit well, but the bust, shoulders, and armpits were too large. unfortunately i will have to return this dress due to the fit, but might try to reorder it in a medium to see if that works better. I would recommend this dress, as it is comfortable, pretty, versatile, flattering, and high quality.

I purchased this dress because I was trying to get in the mindset of spring and I can't wait to wear it! The material is stretchy and very comfortable. I could wear it to the farmers market or to a party. I am 5'4 and 110 lbs. The xs fits really well and comes to just below my knees. The color is very true to what I saw online. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because the straps slide off sometimes.

Very nice and flattering. I already owned one in Northern Lights and bought this as well. But the fit is larger than the Northern Lights version, so I had to shrink it in the dryer.

I have several Patagonia dresses that I live in during the summer but the Margot is definitely my least favorite. The fit isn't very flattering on me and I wish the dress was a bit longer. I am 5'8" with a lean, athletic build but the dress makes me look bulky. Based on the positive responses from other reviewers, the style must not work with my body-type. I do think the dress would be more flattering if it was made out of a material that is a bit lighter and has more movement.

I usually wear M in Patagonia, and since this dress is slim fit, I went with a M. Found the fit through empire waist and hips to be perfect, but bodice is rather low cut and straps tended to fall off my (broad) shoulders. Perhaps it would be a better fit on someone bustier than me, or more appropriate as a coverup? Fabric & print design is divine, tho'.

I love this dress! I wore it to our open house party, but could also easily wear it to do errands. It fits like a glove. I am 5'4" 135lbs. and curvy and ordered a medium. The only adjustment I made was to pin the cleavage a little because it was a little lower than I liked. Awesome dress, especially at a sale price.

having never bought Patagonia before I wasn't sure what to expect but this dress is so cute I have to say I really am impressed. The fabric is stretchy but keeps it's shape really well. The cut is very flattering and the gathering at the waistline helps if you have a little bit of a tummy. I think what I like the most is that you can wear a normal bra thanks to the wide shoulder straps and being a DD cup that is vital with my summer dresses. So if you are thinking of getting this dress, stop thinking and just click add to cart, you won't regret it!

Agree with previous reviews, this dress is very flattering and comfortable. Size medium fits me perfectly (5'4, 125 lbs, 38b). It is very low cut, though, lower than what I usually wear. The fabric is nice, love the Northern Light, but it can feel a little warm in hot weather since it is a heavier weight cotton.

I'm 5'4", 117 lbs. this dress fits beautifully. You would never know I'm 41 and have 2 kids! I feel great in it! It is a bit low, a little more daring than I'm used to, but my husband doesn't seem to mind :) I find my bra shows a little in the back, I have to make sure to pull the dress up over the bra in back.
