Description

Ideal as an inner or outer layer, this warm Synchilla® Snap-T® is made from post-consumer recycled polyester. In fact, here's a little trivia: Every Patagonia PCR sourced garment keeps 25 2-liter soda bottles out of landfills, as well as displacing future oil production. Because recycled manufacturing consumes energy, Patagonia takes this environmentally sound idea a step further by building the Synchilla® Snap-T® to last, so when you move on to something else, you can pass this one along to family, friends or those in need. Chest pocket secures with a snap flap while the hem and cuffs are finished with a stretchy nylon/spandex binding to help seal in warmth.

great fleece
November 07, 2011

Great fleece. Extremely warm. It's cut a little strange in that the waist bunches and rides up so I was constantly pulling it down. But it's great and would definitely recommend it.

Essential Gear
August 17, 2011

To start, you can't go wrong when it comes to Patagonia products. They are well made, high proformance gear with little wear and tear (worth the cost). I have had the Synchilla Snap-T fleece for a few years and its classic look as well as the function will stand the test of time. This is definitely you go-to fleece for all occasions. I was recently inclined to purchase a second one in a different color as a spare. In terms of the fit, I find (and this goes with most Patagonia merchandise) that there is a big jump from medium to large sizing. I am one of those people (5'10" and 170 lbs) which falls in between large and medium...some brands I am a large and some medium. For most Patagonia products, the medium is the best choice to insure that there is not extra material wasted.

Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance

Great warm pullover
July 08, 2011

"Seriously, has there been a more perfectly designed and executed piece of clothing than the Snap-T? I've got two of them. One is about 20 years old. It is ratty and threadbare and beloved. My wife ordered a new one for me, so I'd look more presentable in the winter, spring and fall (or as I call it Patagonia Fleece season). Don't tell my original, but I love the new one too. Even though I feel a tad guilty for cheating on it with the newest Snap-T."

Fantastic quality...constantly for 15 years
January 02, 2011

I'm so happily surprised each time I purchase a new synchilla fleece: the fit, build and quality remain constant from Patagonia over time. I've been purchasing these particular fleeces for years now and it's refreshing that Patagonia has not cheapened their manufacturing practices the way that other outfitters have. The synchilla fleece might not be the newest, hottest material on the market, but it is very rugged and surely warm for an under layer and even on its own when not too terribly cold. I might also add that the fit has remained constant as long as I've been purchasing them. It's nice not to be let down by a new version of an old favorite.

HUGE
December 06, 2010

I normally wear a large in Patagonia products (5'-11", 195 lbs); I got this pullover in a large and I have room to wear my pack inside. Or at least a day pack. Seriously, it is huge. Tried on a medium locally and it fit like a large normally fits on me. Extremely dense material, very warm-it's the type of top that you could wear with a vest and be quite comfy backpacking in cold, windy conditions. Definitely a winter piece. Nice retro look. I'm returning it for a medium.

Timeless Classic - consider size before ordering
December 01, 2010

Not much can be said about this item that you do not already know. A classic fleece pullover, has stood the test of time and is equally suitable for fall evening walks, fireside chats, cool weather camping or man-about-town wear. Luxurious warmth, however fit runs a bit large, so I would recommend sizing down unless you plan on layering more than one layer underneath. Trends come and go, but the Patagonian Snap T Fleece is timeless, and will still be in style years from now.

Classic Look, Great Quality
November 19, 2010

After searching for a new fleece, I decided on the timeless Patagonia Snap T. I'm 6'0, 178lb and a Medium fits me well. It's not baggy, or tight, but "fits" if you will, so it's great alone or for layering. This fleece keeps the temperature just right. It keeps you comfortably warm without overheating (I find my MH monkey man gets a little too warm at times). Also, it's very nice to see the use of recycled materials in the product - very ethical of Patagonia. It's not the cheapest fleece out there, but you get what you pay for, and this fleece will go as long as you can. Overall, a great general purpose fleece with a classic look, and a happy customer. Very impressed with Altrec. Will definitely order through them from now on.

Most Comfortable Garment I Own
November 10, 2010

I've owned the Snap-T now for three years and will always own one now that I've tried it. I am 6'2'', 200lbs and bought the large. It's a loose fit that I like without looking like a tent, but very warm on the medium cold days here in Colorado. The elastic cuffs are a good balance between comfort (not too tight) and function to seal in warmth. Same for the elastic band around the waist. The fleece Patagonia uses for this garment is thick, warm, and comfortable. My lap dog Tank loves it too!

Men's T-Snap Synchilla Pullover Fleece Jacket
September 23, 2010

This pullover is so snuggly warm and attractive looking. It is the only one I found with a snap neck closure, and comes in a variety of colors. The only downfall I would say is there are no hip pockets, just one over the left chest.

Pros: Great design, Performance, Ease of use, Great value
Cons: no hip pockets

Simply the best!
April 01, 2010

I have worn Patagonia Synchilla Snap-Ts for over 20 years and have been nothing but satisfied. While they are more pricey than other fleece, their quality is worth it. After moderate use for 18 years I finally retired my original shirt, but purchased another to replace it. During that same time I tried other fleece that just didn't last. You get what you pay for, and Synchilla is the best!

Great Fleece
November 02, 2009

I bought this item with the belief that I was purchasing merely a light-weight pullover fleece. I was pleasantly surprised to find this to be the warmest fleece I have ever owned. I've had various other brand fleeces (northface, marmot) and this tops them all. Besides being extremely warm it is very stylish and something I truly enjoy wearing.

Warm and Soft
September 29, 2009

This fleece has a very soft hand--unique to Patagonia--and is durable and versatile, and has a pragmatic chest pocket. Only one problem: if you wear a size small and have narrow/skinny wrists the cuffs are cut very wide. The only negative aspect about Patagonia is their consistency in making their cuffs on all size small fleece as wide as the cuffs on a size large. Otherwise, a classic garment.
