Ordered a pair of these with some Patagonia shirts and the Roving Cargo short. While quality was all you would expect from Patagonia, the fit of the Guidewater was unexpectedly baggy compared to the Roving short which was spot on. Guide water short had a longer inseam and the diameter of the legs was much larger. So, back it want. And that part was unexpectedly simple. No questions asked by Altrec. Punch a few buttons on the computer, box it up, post it. Bravo Altrec for making that part easy and guilt free.

These are my "go to" shorts in warmer weather. Very lightweight, they look good weather I am hiking or running out to the store or dinner. Durable and very comfortable. Built in belt is a plus. I highly recommend.

I bought the pants a month ago and like them so much I decided to get me some of them short pants just like them. Very comfortable, light, nice length. Can't wait to fish in 'em.

Another outstanding patagonia item. Excellent fabric and construction, very tough and durable. These run a little snug so you may want to try one size larger if you like a relaxed fit. Highly recommended.
