My waist is 21 inches and my hips are 24 inches. I bought a size small. These rain pants over my pants fit fine. I like the full side zip, back mesh pocket and fully taped seams. Great value for the price.

These pants are PERFECT! I use them almost every morning for biking to class and work in rainy Oregon. I was looking for a pair of rain pants that could be easily pulled on over clothes and keep me dry in the heaviest of downpours and I definitely found it in these pants. I'm 5'5 and 130lbs with fairly long legs. I ordered the medium to make sure the inseam was long enough but the fit was perfect as well. Not baggy, just perfectly loose! Maybe it's their rainy Seattle roots that gives them extra experience, but Outdoor Research definitely nailed it with these rain pants!

I was shopping for waterproof ski pants to wear trail/backcountry skiiing and was not happy with the prices I found ($130 plus) so when I came across the Palisades pant I could not believe the reasonable price. I realize they are designed for rain wear but I will use for skiing primarily. The medium fit is nice for me- not baggy- and I am able to wear warm liner pants underneath. (I am 5'6" 130 pounds) The legs are a bit noisy due to the fabric but I am willing to put up with that for the waterproof factor. I love the full leg zippers and to open if I get too warm. I received them quickly from Altrec.

These pants look great! they're a champ in the rain, though they're not as breathable as my old Sierra Designs pair, the one complaint i have is that the zippers are not very good quality and can jam up when you try to do them up or undo them
