This is my favorite hat; it is so comfortable that I can wear it all day and forget it's there. It reduces the glare of the sun and is cool in hot temperatures. The clasp in back allows me to adjust it for my smaller head...most hats are just too big for me. The colors are fun and stay bright after dirt, detergent and solor exposure. The bill is the right size and stays nice even after being crushed in my pack. Keep this a secret; I don't want everyone to have a hat like mine!

I like this hat. It is very cool and well ventilated. It seems sturdy and built well. I would have liked a more extensive choice of colors but I'll get by. I would recommend this hat to anyone. Doing business with Altrec is always a pleasure. Thanks!

Bought this hat with the sombrero hat too. Use it for teaching and coaching cross country on those sunny days. Fits very comfortably. Great color. Matches the school colors.

I own several. As caps go, it feels both lightweight and breathable. Not the best choice on really windy days when tends to get blown off. Works well combined with rain jacket when using the hood. Light and comfortable.

I found this hat at a retailer in the spring. I have worn it so much that I wanted a second one. The hat fits well and is very packable. It also dries quickly and is not hot like a regular ball cap. Now I rarely go on a trip without both of them. Great Hat!

My best friend and I belong to a camera club. We have many outtings. I bought this hat for her to try out hiking. She loved it and said she would forget that it was even on her head. It was a hit!!!

This is a great hat, good for sunny days hiking. Light and comfortable, the 2 most important things. The only problem is the color. I highly recommend it.

Looks great, keeps its shape and on these hot Texas afternoons on the lake or in the pool it keeps my head cool and the sun off my face. I'm going to buy a couple more.

Swift Cap Not The Best Fit For Big Noggins!

The OR Swift Cap is a well constructed cap, however this cap does not fit big head sizes very well at all. Hopefully, OR will not continue to increase the number of caps and hats included in the generic "One size fits all" clothing category.

I have been on a (seemingly) never-ending hunt for a summer hat works for me. This is the best one I've found so far. It is lightweight with good ventilation, comfortable to wear and is of good quality. I'm back to get a couple more in different colors.

First glance i thought the mesh material was a bit of a gimmick. Having worn trail running since i bought, feel very different now. Will be buying another at the first sign of wear and tear. Fits well, form fitted style cap. Material dries out fairly quickly. You almost forget you are wearing it.

I wear this almost every day. I always get a good sweat going when I'm outside even in cool weather. This hat breathes so well,. I love the fit and how it looks.

This is the best cap I've ever owned. It's very light, extremely comfortable, and the mesh sides keep you really cool. Great for all outdoor activities. It's so good I plan to buy another one very soon.

New and Improved

I own an OR Swift Cap from a few years ago and have really put it through its paces during long hikes in harsh sun and in wet environments. I now own this updated version and it's night and day. I love how they've decided to literally separate the Supplex and mesh and have an entire mesh lining against the head and the Supplex just over the top of the head. Very functional; very comfortable; and very worthy upgrade. Glad I spent the money. It's hard to imagine anyone not appreciating the functionality and usability of this cap. Oh, and it looks good too. ;-)

Not my last hat

I was looking for a cap for outside activity in winter and summer. When I purchased this one, I initially thought, "boy what a nice product, great fit, durable, cool, sure to be my last hat purchase". Nope... I like it so well, I'm ordering a couple spares, and will be outfitting my kids as their birthdays roll around. I use this for skiing and running, wearing it over a thin polartech beanie in the cold. Very nice fit with lots of adjustability. The beak is a little shorter than usual, but does a good job of blocking the sun. Lots of ventilation from the mesh sides (actually the whole cap is mesh, and the colored panel just covers it). Just a superior product for exercising when compared to the typical cotton ball cap. Between the Outdoor Research warranty and Altrec, you just can't go wrong!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this hat - I bought one a couple years ago, and bought this one for my husband. I usually REFUSE to wear a hat. I hate them because they are uncomfortable and hot - but this one IS NOT! I LOVE THIS HAT! Super comfortable and cool. And it looks good on me, too! I had to buy one for my man because he kept stealing mine, because he loves it, too!
