These suspenders are high quality and I use them to keep my snowboarding pants up, however, since they are velcro closure they are very durable. But as they are velcro, the comfort depends on the belt loops of your pants. I unfortunately have wide belt loops on my womens pants, and the velcro loops stick out at the closure. You will need thin belt loops on your pants for this to be comfortable on the mountain. Other than that, its great quality.
Pros: Great design, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueOR Suspenders are Awesome

If you are skinny and tall like I am then you probably don't fit quite right into Outdoor Research pants. They are either just right in the waist but too short or big in the waist and just right in the length. I went for correct length and these amazing suspenders hold them up comfortably for me. I have not put them to any rigorous use yet but they are well crafted from quality materials. The stitching looks to be quite secure as well. CAVEAT: If you are VERY tall, like over 6' 6", then these might not work the greatest as you will have to lengthen the velcro out to the max. I am 6' 4" and I have no problem. Just FYI.
Pros: Great design, Ease of use, Great valueDoes the job but has a few issues

Well yes, they will hold up your pants. However, the regular style Velcro used on these catches on any soft clothing (other than cotton). Also, the only elastic is on part of the rear piece and the rest of the material is a narrow width yet thick nylon webbing which make these not nearly as comfortable as most suspenders that come with other pants (I've tried several). Again, they do the job but could easily be improved if more thought were put into them. I would recommend these only because I cannot find any others for sale!

I am using these on a pair of Marmot softshell pants that did not come with suspenders. My backpack always pushes my pants down so I think all pants should come with suspenders or attachments for them. I am tall so one problem I had was when I adjusted them to my height there was a lot of velcro exposed that likes to stick to the inside of my jacket. Since the velcro is sewed onto the straps you can easily run a knife between the two to cut the thread holding them together. I then trimmed this excess and sewed the top back to the strap to keep it from continuing to unravel. This was a bit of a pain. I would have preferred a fastex buckle like a tri-glide and still may make this modification but the velcro is working for now and my pants stay up. This was the only pair of suspenders I was able to find sold separate of pants so it was hard to be very picky about design. But I am glad these are available.
Basic design and easy to adjust

Took it snowshoeing at Mt Ranier in a snowstorm with my Mountain Hardwear snowpants and it did its job of keeping the pants from sagging down thru the day of very deep snow. It doesnt stretch all that much, but its easy to adjust the velcro straps. I think the pant loops would break before the suspenders. Solid build.
Pros: Build quality, Ease of useGreat suspenders...

These are great suspenders. They do what suspenders are supposed to do and they do it well. There isn't much to a suspenders outside of materials and craftsmanship and these suspenders are in no way lacking in those departments. They are velcro and are capable of snagging on thin base layers, but I typically do not have that problem. If it was something you are concerned with you could easily fashion some sort of sleeve to slip over the velcro to deny it access to your other articles of clothing. I would recommend these for anyone looking for an adaptable suspender that does not have any bulky or heavy hardware. 3 short bits of paracord and these suspenders and I can secure any part of pants with belt loops.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueSo far so good

So far, so good....The suspenders do their job and hold my furio pants up when I need them to most, in the winter! They are relatively easy to adjust, although not as easy if your wearing your biggest winter gloves. One downfall, and this is being nit-picky, but the velcro on the suspenders attaches to everything. Especially if I'm wearing anything that uses high pile insulation.
Pros: Build quality, Lasts foreverBoundary Water Friend
October 05, 2010
Just spent a week in the minnesota boundary waters in some pretty wet weather. I used the suspenders to hold-up a pair of Outdoor Research rain pants. The velcro on the straps made it real easy to undo and open the pants to answer natures call or to get the pants on when the rain started falling. The straps were wide enough to be comfortable. My only criticism is that the velcro on the straps would stick to things other than the straps. This was a minor issue though.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of useSturdy and Light - Needs Attachment Loops to Belt Loops
May 22, 2010
Lightweight and Sturdy - Need attachment loops that clasp, attaching suspenders to belt loops. A simple and strong plastic loop with a clasp, made of material like weed-eater cord would do. Flexible loops for binding check-lists work well.
Good Product.

good product. Does the job without the hardware only the velcro.

Works fine. Nothing to complain about. Could have an extension piece but not much of a complaint.
