Great Daypack
October 06, 2011

This pack is perfect for day treks to over-nighters if you're partner is carrying most of the weight. The pack has almost all of the features as a larger backpacking/trekking pack. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Don't even hesitate if you know what you need this for. It is one of the best daypacks out there, and plus, Osprey Packs is from right here in all Colorado! :)

Super Lightweight Pack Great for Day Hikes
August 23, 2011

I just got my Talon 33 pack which is ridiculously lightweight. Although I love Ospreys I ended up returning this one for the Osprey Kestrel 38. I'm going to be hiking for 3 weeks straight and needed something with an internal frame. This pack is perfect as a day pack, but I don't think it's up for the long haul. I'm really excited about my Kestrel though.

Pros: Great design, Performance, Great value
Cons: Wears quickly

Solid backback
October 17, 2010

I use this pack for climbing equipment, one-nighters, hiking, and biking. It has performed well on all counts. While it would be nice if the lid was adjustable to accommodate a larger load, I've always been able to get everything to fit. It's light, has all the right pockets, and works well with my water reservoir. Highly recommend it.

GREAT ALL AROUND PACK
December 12, 2009

This pack was purchased for my son-in law who lives and climbs in Colorado. He liked my Osprey pack so much, I purchased this one for him. My pack has been on the Inca Trail in Peru and on Adirondack Mountains. I love it! The mesh back keeps me dry and comfy. The straps are super and adjust very well to pack loads. Best pack I have ever owned!

Everything I could want.
November 16, 2009

Used it for a 10-day trip to Patagonia. Carried it through rain, sleet, and snow. Handled great, fit all of my gear. Best of all, I carried it onto various planes and stored it both in the storage bin overhead AND under the seat in front of me. Love it.

Not for me....

Shoulder harness way to light gray/white as compared to others I've seen out there in other gear shops. To many straps, still prefer the single waist belt system. Could be a good BackPack for others, but not for me..

I used this pack all summer for leading hiking trips with small groups. It easily held enough gear and food for our day hikes and was comfortable enough to be used every day without getting pack sores. I'm glad I took the time to find a good pack. I can't wait to take this thing into the mountains.

Great day pack!
April 23, 2008

Altrec staff recommended this pack to me and I love it! I took it with me to Thailand, Nepal and a trek through Bhutan. For three weeks it held everything I need on the plane or on the trail. Easy to adjust in different ways.

Very nice pack for long dayhikes or short backpacks.

Extremely comfortable. I've worn it about 20 times now. Can handle decent load, easily 25 pounds. Seems to be durable. Very versatile. Buckles are unique but seem to work great. Can hardly feel the shoulder straps, even with weight. Hope I don't ever have to use the whistle in the sternum strap, but it's there if needed. Lots of straps. I like this pack.

Very well made.

I've used this several times. The fit is great, very comfortable, good fittings. The bag compartment for the water bag is well done. No drawbacks yet.
