Most functional Dry Bag

The biggest problem with dry bags is the small opening and not being able to find what you're looking for when you can't see. This is a great day bag when you're going in and out all day while paddling. So easy to find what your looking for. Not going to be as bomber as the outfitter bags but it is a good value and will last many trips without issue. Originally purchased Large but would buy XL if I had to do it over. You can roll it small that way but still have the extra room if needed.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great valueGreat Bag - Keep it dry

I own several West Marine Dry bags that look very similar to these. The difference? West Marine bags are extremely expensive. These Altrec bags have all the great features of the West Marine bag. They are extremely well made, utilize the same closure system, good clear vinyl, the greatest benefit is that they cost a fraction of the price of the West Marine bags. I am seriously considering buying all available sizes in this bag, they always come in handy. I like clear bags because you can always see what you are digging for, like those AA batteries that worked their way all the way to the bottom of the bag! GREAT BAG, GREAT VALUE.

I'm a scuba diver and needed something to keep my clothes, towels, books, etc. dry. This totally keeps them insulated from all the water that spraying, dripping, and sloshing around on a boat and from other divers and me. It was a surprise when I received the item and it was more rugged than I expected it to be, bigger than I expected it be, and lighter than I expected to be. I also like the fact that the closing clip can be used as a carry handle or used to clip onto overhead rails on a boat to keep it out of the way. I would give it a 5 in functionality if it had a way to watertight seal it closed instead of just rolling it closed and had another opening on the other end to easily get to stuff packed at the bottom.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great valueGood Product

I used this bag on a recent trip offshore Cod fishing in Maine. It was three days of cold and rainy fishing in a boat with limited storage space. The bag stayed out on the deck and kept everything dry, of course, and was quick to open and close in the rain. Although not made for the purpose, I think it could be used as a throwable in an emergency situation if rolled up with some air left in. The seal seems good enough to hold short term.
