great pair or shoes...very comfortable and durable
April 11, 2012
i purchased these shoes for my 65 year old dad who walks 5-8 miles per day and he really enjoys them...these shoes are excellent for people with wide feet and strike with a heavy heel....the leather is excellent quality and very durable....i would highly recommend these shoes for walking (not running).
MW927

I bought a pair as a replacement for a pair of worn-out 926's. They fit about the same and I expect them to last as long. The tread pattern is a little different and the grooves are slightly narrower, making it harder to dislodge small stones. The main thing is that they seem custom-designed to fit my feet and custom orthotic inserts.
Good walking shoe

As someone with the bane of a 6E foot, I found this to be a nice daytime use/ walking shoe. The construction of the shoe is of good quality. This shoe wasn't well suited for athletic activities (running and fencing)
Bigfoot isn't real but wide feet are
December 12, 2010
Growing up I thought I had big feet and wore size 12 or 13 shoes by the time I got to high school. Turns out that I'm a 10.5 4E and the sales people at the mall didn't know how to size me or more likely didn't have the correct product to sale me. My shoes were always busting out at the sides as a kid. Once I got clued into New Balance and their wide shoes they are the only athletic shoes I buy. I also just figured out their nomenclature, MWXXX is Men's Walking, MRXXX is Men's Running and so forth. Buy the highest model number you can afford. I've always bought 900 series shoes except for one pair of 500s that I was disappointed in. They don't last forever but they do holdup for years. The sides of my shoes never blow out anymore and the shoes look great even when they are worn out. I can only tell that a pair is ready for retirement when my feet start to hurt after extended exercise, something that never happens with a fresh pair.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Great value
