Great pants, but order a size larger than normal
February 29, 2012
After returning the first pair that were sized incorrectly, I purchased a second pair and went up in size. I typically wear a 30 waist, but ordered a 32 the second time. The 32 waist actually measures 31 and with the pants shrinking a little after the first washing they now fit perfect. These are tough pants and should hold up to a lot of wearing and abuse.

My husband loves these pants. They are a khaki pant which comes in many colors and has a little character. Pockets and bottom of pants are different and stylish. Very durable and husband says extremely comfortable. He plans to buy more in different colors.Excellent choice in mens's pants.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of useJanuary 06, 2012
This is my second pair of Mountain Khakis. These pants are as advertised they look good from the board room to the trail. In my job I need to look professional and have clothing that will withstand just about any conditions, these pants fit that bill perfectly.
Pros: Build quality, PerformanceGreat pants
January 03, 2012
These pants are very well made. I like the fabric and the construction. They are built to last. They seemed stiff when I got them, but softened as they were washed. The care is easy. Just what I need. They may run a little small in the waist and a little long. Great pants will buy more. Thanks !!!!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts foreverdurable pant
December 11, 2011
mountain pant fits much differently than teton twill pant. mountain pant is much baggier than the teton twill pant. the teton twill pant shrunk much more than the mountain pant has, which has stayed much more true to size to when bought.
Pros: Ease of useSize not accurate
December 05, 2011
These pants came in as I ordered them just fine, but their version of a 36x34 is way different than I'm used to. Pants were at least two inches bigger in each dimension, just like other reviewers stated. They seemed high quality though. Altrecs return policy made it no issue.
Great design, poor quality control
November 09, 2011
The review title is harsh, I know, but bear with me. I already owned 1 pair of Original Mtn Pants and a pair of Teton Twill pants from Mtn Khaki and have been very happen with them. The only issue I had was that the 34" waist on the OMPs seemed a bit small, so I ordered a couple pair of 35" waist from Altrec since nobody else locally had them. I received them and tried them on and they seemed OK, but not a huge improvement. So I wore them once and washed them once and wow did they shrink. Both pair are tagged 35 x 34 (waist/length) After washing I measured them and one pair now measures 33" waist and 31 1/2 length and the other pair measures close to true to size in the waist but 32" inseam. I contacted MK and was told they have had some issues with what their various contract factories (in Asia) consider acceptable tolerance and they are working to resolve this issue. That said, my single pair of MK Teton Twill Pants fit perfectly and are actually exactly true to size, even after being washed.
Pros: Great designHeavy Duty Pants
November 08, 2011
These are some heavy duty pants. They fit better than jeans if you have muscular thighs. I wear them mainly for riding my Harley....Like Jeans... only better! The odd size waist fits me perfectly!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Ease of useGreat Pants
October 27, 2011
These pants can be worn to work as long as you are not a banker and then in the trout stream later that afternoon. They last for ever and only get better after each wash.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Ease of use, Great valueHigh Quality

After reading many reviews on these I finally gave them a try. I am very pleased with the fit, style & overall quality. At age 45 I needed a brake from jeans / carhartt type pants. These are now a first choice to put on ( anytime ). Sizing is very true. Thanks Altrec !!!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, nice styleTough Unique

These pants are stiff and tough but with the fine quality weave, still donÂ’t feel too bulky to wear. As work-like as they are, the style is great to be worn in a casual setting, not just the outdoors. I normally wear a 34x30 which can run up the leg when sitting, so I ordered that size fir these pants; the inseam could not be more perfect, staying at a nice length and the legs are not to baggy if you wear this size at a very fitted style. If any issue at all, itÂ’s the waist, which at this size, is very tight on me. The problem is that I tried on a 35x30 and they completely swallowed my legs and waist. They are a great pair of pants, but I also recommend fabric softener in the wash and dryer in order to keep them from becoming terribly wrinkled. So with a little care, if you donÂ’t mind wearing them in a fitted style, I would recommend these pants-they are as nice as they appear on line!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, PerformanceGreat Pant, but runs too small
April 30, 2011
These pants are really comfortable! They fit loose, with plenty of room in the leg and around the openings. At first, they come pretty stiff. But after a couple of washes, the material gets much softer. My only complaint was having to send back an order because of both quality control and sizing. Though, first let me say that the quality is excellent. The pants are tough and will definitely withstand some abuse. Where the quality control issue comes in is with the mis-labeling of a certain sizes. I ordered a 34 / 34 and they sent me something closer to a 34 / 30 with one of the pairs. With regards to sizing, from my orders and others' reviews, order one or two sizes up. I am 6' 2'' and 195 lb and I fit a 34 / 34. With these I definitely had to go with a 36 / 34. These pants are much more expensive than most, but with these you'll get what you pay for. They are worth the price.
Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Great valueExcellent quality

I have several pairs of Mountain Khakis and have never once been unhappy with them. The quility is unquestionable and they strike a great balance between being able to work hard outdoors or in the office. They are soft enough after the first wash to be comfortable and only get better from there. They do run a little bit smaller than some brands. All in all, an excellent product.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of useI know, I know...
April 04, 2011
Yes, they're expensive... and worth every nickle. Great fit, bullet-proof costruction, details you have to see to appreciate. Try 'em, you'll agree. I'm now a believer!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts foreverGreat pants!
March 24, 2011
If you're looking for a casual pant that will stand up to abuse like a bullet-proof vest, look no further. These pants have a slightly baggy fit including a cuff that is a little larger than usual. After wearing and washing 6-8 times you'll really find out what these pants are about. The fit improves and fabric feels softer. These are GREAT pants!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Great valueToo Big
March 15, 2011
This is my 5th pair of MK's and I have had good luck, unlike some others, with sizing and quality control. They do usually run a little bit small. I usually wear a size 32X30 in almost every other brand. I always purchase 33X30 in the MK brand and have had no problem at all. This last pair of 33X30 were closer to a 35X32. Not even close. I guess my luck ran out. They are great pants and I will try again, but I am a little leary of ordering online now. Expensive pants get more expensive when you have to pay return shipping.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, PerformanceGREAT Pants!!!
February 14, 2011
I have worn another brand of cotton canvas pants for years without knowing what I was missing. A friend recommended that I give Mountain Khakis a try and I have been thrilled with them since the day I got them. They are very durable and very comfortable with a really cool second thigh pocket on the right side. Keep in mind that their fit is a little peculiar, I needed to go up one size in the waist and down one size on the inseam. After I found the right fit I couldn't be happier!! Thanks Mountain Khaki and Altrec!!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts foreverOK pair of pants
February 11, 2011
I like the fit of these pants. They feel a little rough, not as "soft" as the product description says. They also are hard to get wrinkles out of after washing. They are a little pricey. I wish they came in odd lengths like 31 in. Overall though I would recommend these pants. I like the way they fit and they seem to be fairly tough.
Pros: Great design, Build qualityGREAT PANTS
February 09, 2011
A little stiff at first, and pricey, but very durable. I use these for every day, as well as hiking, camping, off roading, working with my dogs, and brushbusting.
Pros: Build quality, Lasts forevergreat pants
February 08, 2011
great pants.. im 5'11 195 and wear 33x32. Fit perfect. Better than carhartt. They are casual enough to wear out on jobsite but professional enough to wear to a meeting. Love them
Pros: Build qualityBest Pants I've ever bought.
January 19, 2011
These are the best fitting, most durable yet comfortable pants that i've ever owned. My wardrobe is primarily Mountain Khaki and Jeans. They come in different styles and type of material, but the Original Mountain Pant is the best by far for an all around great pant. The front pockets are by far the greatest pockets on the market. The reinforced heel area and the way the gusset is sewn are other great features about the pants, but I'm sure theres more. I would recommend to anyone who needs a good, reliable pair of pants.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of useExcellent Quality and Fit
December 29, 2010
I have decided that I whenever I need a new pair of pants, I will look for Mountain Khakis. I have just purchased pairs number four and five. Love the quality, fit, and styling of these pants. Can't go wrong!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts foreverthese are good pants
December 29, 2010
These pants seem very well built. The waist size runs small - I recommend getting one size up from what you normally wear. The length runs long - I recommend one size down from what you normally wear.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Great valueBEST pants!

Soft and durable. Comfort and fit perfect. Worth every penny! You should buy these pants and you will enjoy wearing them for years to come.

Mountain Khakis are the best pants that I have ever owned. They are perfect to wear to work and perfect to wear out on a hike in the woods. Wonderful fit and top-notch fabric and construction. Buy a pair and you will be happy that you did!

December 05, 2010
I love these pants. I wear them everywhere. Around the house, fishing, and even in to work at times. They look great and are high quality. My only complaint is that they fit a little tight in the waist. I would recommend ordering a size larger than what you actually wear. Other than that, great pants!
Pros: Great design, Build qualitylong legs and more
December 05, 2010
Do you know how hard it is to find a 36" inseam in a pair of thoughtful backwoods worthy goodness? These pants are perfect out of the bag and even better after a few washes. The attention to design, materials and manufacture is self evident. I am relatively new to Mountain Khakis but now use and abuse 6 pair, canvas and corduroy, in the city and the country. Long legs or not these pants are done right.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performancegreat purchase
November 27, 2010
have ordered more pairs. wear working on the boat, wear walking the dogs, even wear to the office. not expensive for what they are.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of useGreat pants

Longtime Carhartt wearer upgraded to MKs and happy that I did. Same great durability and generous, comfortable fit with a more refined look. Will definitely be ordering more!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Great valueGreat casual pants, excellent value
November 24, 2010
I like casual pants that can still take some abuse and that I don't have to change if I need to do some work or just venture out into the woods. These are very durable, well-made, and comfortable. And they are at an excellent price for the quality.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Great valuerecommend with reservations
November 17, 2010
Very comfortable. I love the fabric and the build quality. Be careful with the fit, though. They are very tight in the waist and very loos in the seat and thighs, which makes them roomy and easy to move in.
Pros: Build qualityBest outdoor pants period
November 15, 2010
Comfortable, durable, stylish . . . I would wear these pants everyday if I could. Plenty of crotch room. Wide leg openings to fit over boots.
November 10, 2010
The waist runs a little small for me, for pants of this quality and price they should have either elastic or some other type of adjustment
Pros: Great design, Build qualityNovember 10, 2010
Great quality, easy ordering! These pants are rugged enough to stand up to bad weather and tough projects.
great construction
November 08, 2010
very well made, just wish they were a slight bit more "relaxed fit", as an athlete my thighs arent quite in proportion to my waist.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, PerformanceDurable and comfortable
November 02, 2010
I really like the fit of these pants. They are very true to size so I ordered one waist size up so they are a little loose (which I like). I also like how well they are made. They feel very durable and the stitching is very high quality. One of my favorite features is the double front pockets. I would definitely recommend these pants to anyone looking for a very durable and comfortable khaki.
Pros: Build qualityConfidence Inspiring Pants
November 01, 2010
Excellent quality. Waist fit a little tighter than I thought it should, but not a big deal. I feel like I could make these pants my go-to fieldwork pans for weeks on end. Excellent quality, but def. not 'breathable.'
Pros: Build quality, Lasts foreverNever Change Pants Again!
November 01, 2010
I am an active hiker, mountain climber, snowboarder...general outdoorsman, but during the week I work for a large corporation. This is the first pant that I have ever found that I can wear from the trail, to the office. It is unbelievable. Comfy, good-looking, very, very, very true to size, durable, practical...I could go all day. Because I play hard, I usually go through two pairs of pants a year - I am talking durable, solid pants. I have had my pair of MK Originals for close to three years now, and not only do they look like I got them yesterday, I don't imagine I will wear them out for another two years, minimum. You don't have to fuss about washing them regularly, and as someone who cares a good deal about the color of his clothing, what you see in the picture is what you get. They are very true to color. Price is high, but considering this one pair will outlast 3-4 other pairs of pants, it is very, very economical in the long haul. If you are even considering buying these pants, even if you aren't, buy them. I still can't believe more people don't know about Mountain Khakis. - Mike
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of useTight waist
October 30, 2010
Mountain khakis are comfortable, relatively durable pants. They look good and can sneak by either in the office or in the field. In my experience the sizing can vary quite a bit from pair to pair and the waist sizes are generally a bit tighter than expected, especially after the first wash/shrink (I order 1" bigger in the waist).
Pros: Great design, Build quality
