Great cool-weather sleeping bag.
March 18, 2012

I purchased this for backpacking in not-so-cold weather, and I find that it fits the bill perfectly. In fact, I slept in it with only a pair of socks, baselayers and a beanie in 37 degree temps and I was perfectly warm. I am willing to bet that this bag would go down to the freezing mark with the same setup. The material is extremely soft and light, but feels durable. The zipper can get snagged at times, due to the extremely soft shell material, but if you do it right it is very minimal. At 6'3" and 240lbs, I find the long version to be pretty comfortable and roomy. The compression sack that it comes with gets this bag down to a tiny ball, barely taking up any space in ones pack. The warmth, durability and weight makes this bag another Mountain Hardwear winner!

Nice bag !!
June 27, 2011

When the UPS guy handed me the box, I almost thought it was empty. Bag is well made and very roomy. I am 6'2" 205 pounds and the long model gives me plenty of room to move around.

Pros: Great design, Ease of use, Great value

You guys are a lifesaver!

Our son was heading to the BWCA and he needed the perfect sleeping bag on short notice. We called Altrec, the operator was knowledgeable and helped us find the perfect bag. We were also pleased to get overnight delivery and it arrived on a Saturday, just in time for departure. We felt great knowing that our son was safe and warm in this sleeping bag. It was also light weight enough to carry on portages and all around the BWCA. Thank you for great products and service too. We will definitely shop with Altrec again!

great bag/price
June 01, 2010

I only camp in the summer and this bag is awesome. I'm a big guy 6'3, 200 lbs, and I fit into the long bag no problem. It's super light and compresses down to a tiny size (like a big water bottle).

Fantastic super compact bag!
September 03, 2009

This is a great bag that is super light and fits into a very tiny stuff sack that is almost hard to believe. For me this was the selling point because I use it for cycle touring and it takes up almost no room. Altrec was great with their low price and fast/free shipping!

great sack

for the money, this is as good as it gets! light weight, great build quality. once in the compression sack, this thing is tiny given its a 45 deg bag.

Great Bag

Used on a Grand Canyon hike with 40* nights. Stayed quite comfortable, roomy enough. Compressed down to the size of a football with the supplied compression sack. Great value for a summer bag. The usual Mountain Hardware quality and workmanship throughout.

Compact and WARM
November 26, 2007

Not to constrictive and very warm when hood and collar closed. Does not bunch up in your face like my Cats Meow. I have used it in low 30 weather solo in a two man tent and stayed warm. The cat is not much warmer and it is rated at 20 (it is new and about to be replaced with a MH Lamina)

good bag for summer
July 23, 2007

this bag worked fine for a warmish July night in upstate NY, compresses small, and contributes little to the overall feeling of your pack--Works for me. Can't wait to take it out to the beach!
