These shorts are great for hiking, backpacking and travel. They are lightweight which means they pack light. They are very comfortable and dry fast. The main thing I like is the secure zippered pockets. This is important for securing valuables during camping trips and general travel. These shorts rate high on my list of all around utility/travel shorts.
