The Usual Suspects
March 31, 2011

Well, if you own or otherwise have used the Marmot DriClime windshirts, then you are intimately familiar with the material with which Marmot makes these gloves - it is exactly the same. A couple years ago I purchased some Marmot Polartec Windblock gloves in size Large and figured I'd give these a try in Large also. The size Large works at least in the sense that Mediums would be too restrictive and XLs would have way too much room. Still, the fit on all the fingers is pretty "fat" and loose and some additional functionality would be added if the wrist section was just a tad bit longer. Overall though, nice gloves and they'll be the ones I take to Ireland with me in a few weeks to keep my hands warm in periodic rain and while biking and walking along the perpetually wind-swept coastline. They will perform just as the DriClime windshirts do (great wind blocking, pretty good DWR treatment, and really excellent wicking). Can't give 'em 5 stars because the fit is just a bit funky. And FYI - I don't know the reason for the sizing difference, but I also own the Marmot Precip Shell Gloves. In the Precip gloves, size Medium is perfect and size Large would be way too big. Hope this helps.
