I do a lot of hiking, and by that I mean I've walked all over Afghanistan and these boots kept me very comfortable and happy all the time. I highly recommend them to anyone planning to deploy there who would like some good, comfortable, and durable boots.

I could not believe how great these boots fit -- best I've ever felt. When laced properly my toes cannot hit the front. There is plenty of room in the forefoot for sore toe joints. That rigid rubber toe end will make it keep that shape, rather than collapsing as I've had Hi-Tecs do. And the rest of the boot hugs my foot just right. I was very grateful, too, to find a model that is NOT waterproof, as the waterproof ones are so much hotter to hike in in the desert heat. I have to keep my feet as cool as possible or hiking is miserable. It's getting really hard to find boots that are not waterproof. Traction seems good so far. I generally wear an 8 1/2 shoe and a 9 1/2 boot to keep toes from hitting, but in Keen I actually had to buy a 10. First 10 I've ever worn. Thank you Keen for making this boot, and don't ever make them all waterproof like some companies have done.

i love the shoes they are good for your feet they make your feet feel good not sore. keens are the best quality shoe you could ever have for most anything.

This is my first pair of Keens and I love them! I ordered a half size larger and they fit just right. I love the toe room! They are a good solid stiff soled shoe and that is great for my feet with all the different things I do outside on the farm to hiking. My feet are very happy with these Keens and I will be ordering another pair soon!

I have only had these boots for a short time...short Grand Canyon hike , but so far I can say they are comfortable , lightweight , great traction on slippery surfaces and also very stylish for a hiking boot. I love the wide toe area as this is always a problem for me . I did go up a 1/2 size and that seems to be just right with heavier socks.

These are the most comfortable boots I have ever purchased. I ordered a half size larger than my size 9 shoe which is perfect as it gives me adequate room in the toe box. I have been wearing them to "break them in" for our rim to rim hike in the Grand Canyon but hardly feel this is necessary as they are so comfortable. I love the design of this boot from the awesome tread to the toe protector for the rockier trails.

My second pair of Keen shoes. Beautiful style, lightweight, and most of all so very very comfy. Hiking in the High Sierras in July and can't wait to get them all dirty!

I always feel like I have sturdy support from these boots while clambering up and down hills in the woods. These are my first pair of hiking boots and they are surprisingly comfortable (and I have wide feet.) I would recommend this boot to those who want a good shoe for light hiking.

The Keen Voyageur hiking boot is a classic! It is comfortable right out of the box. I am training for a hike to Machu Picchu in late May and I know these will do the trick. They are light, yet have good traction. I am ready to order a pair for my husband as well!

These boots by Keen are great. I sometimes have problems with blisters with other hiking shoes, but not with these. There is ample room in the toe box. These shoes are extremely comfortable, but sturdy too.

These hiking boots have changed the way that I walk with my dog. I can now keep up with him in the woods without stumbling and sliding on the trail. There is a little creek and I have missed the rocks that use to cross the little creek and my feet don't get wet! I really love these boots so much that I wear them all day because they are SO comfortable.

Keen has done it again! Creating comfortable footwear that lasts. Just keep them away from your puppy and this boot will last you for years. If you like the comfort of a sneaker with great ankle support that isn't as high as a traditional hiking boot, this is the boot for you. Although it isn't waterproof, this boot keeps your feet warm in cooler weather and cool in warmer weather. The signature black rubber toe provides great protection but is also a sure conversation starter! I highly recommend this boot! Enjoy!

The hiker fits great, very true to size. The live chat person was very helpful in discussing the shoe and its fit with me. I have not had a chance to hike in them yet, but just wore them around the house for a day and they were very comfortable. The boot is very lightweight and supportive. Can hardly wait to go hiking!

These were my first pair of hiking boots which I used in the mountains of Arizona/New Mexico. They proved very comfortable for both hiking up/down the mountains and walking the towns. I ordered them 1/2 size bigger than my regular shoe size and they fit perfectly. The reinforced toes were a nice touch to protect my feet from obstacles and I liked the catches on the laces so they stayed tied. The high support around my ankles made me feel more secure as my ankles are weak from past injuries. The boot is as light as a sneaker and kept my feet comfortable. Delivery once again was fast; always happy when I order from altrec!

The construction and light weight of these boots are perfect for my type of hiking. The lacing has no metal parts which usually rub and become uncomfortable. The size was right on too. I will purchase Keen in the future.

I went on a 12 mile hike up a mountain called S. Sister. They were GREAT. Super comfortable and feet never got hot, which normally they do. They do require a break-in period just as any hiking shoe does. I only wore them for an hour prior to my adventure but my feet still weren't too bad. Just one big blister on my big toe.

These are my first pair of hiking shoes and I must say they're absolutely fantastic. I was debating between these, the normal Voyageur, and the Keen Targhees, but chose these because I usually hike in warmer areas and appreciate the extra ankle support. They're super lightweight and breathable, I barely had to break them in. I'm somewhere between a size 7-7.5, and the 7.5 fit perfectly.

Just taken from the box to a 5 mile hike the only sore spots I had were on my hands from the hiking poles! My second pair of Keens, these shoes are made just right for my hard-to-find-a-perfect-fit small feet with high arches. Not only were the shoes perfect, Altrec did an AMAZING job in price matching and getting my shoes to me shipping free in 2 days. Unbelievably great company!
