Best mountain biking shoe yet
February 04, 2011

I have had trouble finding a comfortable mountain biking shoe. When I saw these by Keen I had to give them a try. They are comfortable and my big toes don't fall asleep on longer rides. I originally bought a 1/2 size up as recommended, but found that they were true to size.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance
Cons: a bit heavy
Comfort: 4 / 5

I am thrilled with the shoes so far. Roomy, sturdy, and casual enough to be able to get off my bike and walk around without teetering around with regular cycling shoes!

Nice, but not perfect
December 02, 2010

I really wanted the commuter sandals but sadly they were all sold out when I was looking to buy shoes. Instead I decided to give these a try. They are very well made, however they are on the heavy side and they slip on the pedals if you do not use the cleats. I found my regular running shoes to grip a lot better. I understand you are suppose to wear these with clipless pedals, but I haven't gotten around to doing that yet. They are not as cute as the sandals... pretty bulky, but the quality of these made me keep them. I will probably search for another pair and keep these as a back up.

Pros: Build quality
Comfort: 3 / 5
Durability: 5 / 5
Quality: 4 / 5

These shoes are comfortable and made well (hence the price). I don't mind wide shoes, but they are bulky also. The bulk begins to be over the top with the velcro. I was 7 years old the last time I wore shoes with velcro, so I feel silly wearing velcro (fifteen years later) as an adult. Despite the bulky design, I am satisfied and excited to let my inner kid shine bright and far with the velcro look!

Pros: Build quality, Performance, Great value
Cons: Cost, bulky design
Quality: 5 / 5
Durability: 5 / 5
Comfort: 5 / 5

I love my KEEN bike shoes
September 15, 2010

The Springwater KEEN mountain bike shoes are the best bike shoes that I have ever worn! They are just the right stiffness, light and wide enough in the toe box to avoid causing numbness in my toes. They are durable and easy to walk and hike on many different terrains. I love them!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

Great shoe!
February 19, 2010

Keens make great shoes that outlast others. Glad i found keens in a bike shoe. The are firm with good support and fit. Comfortable right out of the box; need no break in time. Keens run a half size small so order half size larger.

Newbie with clipless pedals
February 02, 2010

I've been very leery about trying clipless pedals so decided to try this shoe and test out the feel of a rigid sole for cycling. It's a whole different feel for the ride and has moved me one step closer to trying the clips. Snug fit. True to size for me.

Shoes look great and fit comfortably. I ordered a half size larger which is stated to do on Keens website, and they fit perfect.

These shoes are true Keens: wider toe box, comfortable out of the box, durable and funky cool. Anyone who's tried Keens before knows that they run about a size small. Purchase with that knowledge and never turn back!
