Amazing pants
April 07, 2012
As always Ibex has again created an amazing pant. Length is just at it's limit for me being 5'3"/ 125 pounds with an athletic build (avid mountain biker). Love the zippered pocket. I use these pants for everything - yoga, after cycling, casual dinners out. IBEX rocks!
Pros: Build quality, Performance, Ease of useyup!

Very nice decent color (bittersweet) for the ones getting bored with the black, i would combine with casual or even business wear and that is what i like about Ibex and Icebreaker pants, the only difference between the two is that Ibex has a coarse structure and Icebreaker is more smooth, here it depends on what you are looking for. Super warm and the length is perfect for my 1.58 m./5.2 f. Fits a bit slimmer than the Ibex energy sport pant and i like it that way. YUP!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, versatileLove these pants

I was given these pants for Christmas and have worn them almost every day since. Living in Anchorage, AK, these products really are a wonderful way to stay warm and look good at the same time!
Love these pants!

I live in northern Vermont and our winters get quite cold. Got a pair of these pants as gift and absolutely love them. I bought myself another pair in a different color. Unbelievably warm! I wear a size small and find then to be true to size. Fits perfectly.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of usePerfect Pant

I bought this pant because of the great reviews and am so happy. I live in the south and did not think wool pants would work - they do! Keep you at just the right temp. Office or outside. Color stays true. Will be buying more.
Pros: Great design, Ease of usegreat gift

I bought these for my partner due to upcoming cold mountain weather. She walks and runs with the dogs a lot and I wanted to get her a product that would be warm, loose, and wind-resistant. These pants were just the thing. She was impressed by the look and wears them often, and not just for exercise. She is also spends lots of time in sitting meditation and these are the perfect pants for her while meditating in cool rooms. I offered to get another pair and she didn't protest. Her only complaint is that the legs are a little long. She appears happy with the purchase and I feel good that she is warm and happy to get outside in the cold.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of useI'm in love!

These Ibex Loose Tight II arrived two days before our first big snow storm of the season. That means they were washed and ready to go when it was cold and yucky outside. They are perfect! They seem to regulate your body heat so that you're never too hot or too cold. I can tell already this is going to be a lasting relationship this season...
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, comfortableGreat cold weather tights

I haven't found an Ibex product that I haven't loved- and these tights are no exception. They're warm, breathable and are not at all scratchy. However, I do l like the fit of Ibex Izzi better than the fit of these tights. I can wear the Izzi to work (teach) but these tights are a bit too close-fitting for work.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueGreat for winter camping, dog walking, shopping.

I am often between a medium and large in Ibex as I'm 5' 6" and 138 lbs. I ordered a large and have found the legs quite long and the waist a bit big. This has been fixed by a couple trips through the washer and dryer. The loose tights II have washed beautifully and shrank up to be more wearable. (I'm too impatient to return for a medium, I wanted to wear them right away). Great quality - dog nails haven't pulled any threads so far (owned for a couple months). The heather grey is a dark grey colour with an extremely subtle lighter grey woven into the fabric on the horizontal plane (looks good on and doesn't widen you). My only concern is the seam on the inner leg that can rub. This isn't a problem if you wear leggings underneath or aren't annoyed be seams. Fit: High on waist (but not too constricting as some elastic waistband are), long legs, fitted in bum and thighs and loose from below thigh down. I'm glad I bought them and will wear for many purposes. I love Ibex fabrics. As soon as my friend felt the material she wanted a pair of these too.
Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, easy to layer for winter, not itchy, breathable fabricLove these

I have three pairs of these pants. They are perfect for slipping on with casual run around clothes. Cute and SO comfortable. I will be getting the navy next.
Pros: Great design, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great valuebest tights

Well made, substantial & soft wool tights. These are extremely comfortable and practical, as well as being the nicest looking workout wear I've ever bought. Have only worn them about a week, so cannot comment on durability, though Ibex has a good rep for long-lasting wool clothing.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of useexcellent gift

I bought these for my sister this past Christmas and she loved them! All the reviews were true she said, the pants are extremely comfortable. She's a serious runner and tells me she can't clean these fast enough to wear again.
Pros: Build quality, Performance, comfortableperfect pants!

these merino wool pants are so perfect for winter in the nc mountains! they are warm and comfortable and easy to combine with many tops and the layers necessary for most of the year at 3000' elevation. i especially like the fabric and the fact that it is sustainable and easy on the animals that provide it...keeps the air and water free of chemical treatments and synthetics...can we enjoy the outdoors without clean air and water? all of the merino products get my vote and $'s for this reason. they are also adaptable to many temps and seasons and last a long time instead of being a wasteful consumer of resources. the fit is close and easy for movement without being tight with too much spandex stretch, no knee bulges, or other bulges amplified, just snug and comfy. i'm 5'5" 110lbs and the length is also perfect in xs. washes great in baking soda with vinegar in the rinse water for softness and long life for all.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Ease of use, Great valueToo short :(

I tried both this tight and the Energy Sport Tight by Ibex, as well as the Icebreaker Rio Pant. I ended up with the Icebreaker Lily Pant because they were the only style that was long enough (I'm 5'11"). Of all four pants, I wish I had been able to keep these. The bitersweet color is a beautiful gray-brown and the fabric is so comfortable I didn't want to take them off after just a few minutes. The inseam seems to be about 31.5 and the Energy Sport Tight by Ibex is a tad longer, about 0.5 inches. The Icebreaker Rio Pants are also long, but quite baggy and thin. If you aren't too tall, I would highly recommend these wool pants over any others offered. I didn't find them to be scratchy at all.
Pros: Great design, flatteringgreat pants

On sale, there were a great buy for a high quality product. Wool is the best! Not sure how they will wear.
Comfortable and looks great!
September 07, 2010
I am 5'1 and had to have these hemmed up about 2". Now they fit well and are warm and comfortable. The only improvement for me would be a lower rise; I think that would place less bulk and creases at the waist.
Nice, heavier weight wool pant
July 29, 2010
This is the third pair of merino wool pants I've purchased and perhaps my least favorite. I have Icebreaker's Lily and Quantum pants and love them. The Ibex Loose Tight is definitely a thicker wool which will be great in winter. While I think this is a great, quality pant with a nice cut through the leg, my only complaint is that the waist band is too wide (3") and thick. The 2 layers of wool plus the elastic make it feel pretty bulky around the waist.
if i could live in these pants i would!

i am having a hard time putting regular pants on after owning these. i find myself waiting until the last min. to take these pants off to put jeans on.
Ibex loose tights II
February 16, 2010
I have loved these pants the last year, so ordered them again. I think maybe the change has been not for the better. They were too long, and too small, and they are a lint magnet, to be sure. They are warm, and they are cozy, but I hope that they make a more standard sizing. On the other hand, Altrec is a fabulous company, and I received my shipment promptly, and the free shipping is wonderful!
Great all-around pants - true to fit
January 18, 2010
These are great winter sportswear pants -- wear for sports or casual attire; I wear size 6, ht. 5.6; and the size small was a perfect fit. I like the izzi pants as well (can be a little dressier).
long, lint-magnet, a bit rough
December 01, 2009
these are great for all temps. being wool, they attract pet hair, lint, etc. they aren't as soft as I expected, but they're not fleece either. they seem durable, though. I'm 5'8" and the inseam was about 36". worth the money for good winter pants!
Too long
October 30, 2009
These pants were way too long. I was going to have to wear two inch heals with pants that I wanted to wear casually. I am 5'5" and generally wear regular inseam pants. Sadly I had to send them back.
An Ibex product I did not love
October 21, 2009
Fit was fine, and the pants were certainly long enough, but the gray Ibex loose tights II were MUCH itchier than any other Ibex product I've ever tried. Also, the gray was not forgiving of any lumps or bumps you (OK, I) might have.
