SO VERY AWESOME
April 04, 2012

I have been actively looking for a good, light and roomy pack for quite some time. I lost a hand-me-down pack I had years ago and my boyfriends is good, but dated, so I finally took the plunge and I love the sentinel 65! It's big enough for all my stuff and still comfy. The shoulder adjustments come in handy and previously I hadn't found a pack that fit just right, until now! There are so many things you can adjust to get the perfect fit. It's a little cumbersome at first, but if you have help from someone adjusting it while it's on your back you'll have no problem. I'm pretty tall and thin and it adjust fairly well, but is a tad big if your a size 2 or under, but the shoulder adjustments more than pick up the slack. I did a lot of investigating before spending a chunk of change and I'd say it's definitely the best bang for the buck!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Great value, easy to get perfect fit for any size

Great entry level backpack
January 11, 2012

The best part is the integrated sleeping bag pouch. Overall, this is a great backpack. It is surprisingly light. The varied compartments hold alot. I just took it on my first hike and loved the fact that I could carry everything I needed in such an easy fashion. It did rain, so I used the rainflap and it worked well to protect the contents of the bag. This is definitley a backpack I would recommend to a weekend hiker such as myself.

Pros: Great design, Great value

Great 1st Time Backpack
January 02, 2012

This backpack has been comfortable, durable, and a real joy to own. I have used it over twenty times so it has definitly been worth the money. I imagine it has 5 more years left in it before I buy a better one. It has plenty of pockets, is rather adjustable, and has left me with not much to complain about other than cheap plastic buckles one of which has broke. With a lifetime warranty on the product where can you go wrong?!

Pros: Performance, Ease of use, Great value
Cons: Poor quality
Durability: 4 / 5
Quality: 5 / 5

very good purchase
July 23, 2011

well, let me start off by saying that i'm super pleased with the affordability, comfort, durability and most of all the awesome speediness of recieving my shipment. Tha High Sierra 65 pack is an amazing product. Good storage space. i've managed to pack all my survival gear. including a telescoping shark fishing pole/reel, an axe, dry foods, fishing tackle, sleeping sack and pillow, changes of clothes/shoes, bugaboo cookware set, bushbuddy ultra stove and a 12x12 kelty tarp with four stake-ropes and two lightweight prop-up poles. all of which fit very nicely into the 65 sack and made for an amazing adventure. and don't forget the rain-fly tucked nicely away in the bottom of the pack. good idea!!! thanks altrec for accomidating me to meet my needs.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, has h2o port :)
