Description

You find the coolest spots when you go off the beaten path, carry the gear you'll need for a week in the backcountry with the High Sierra Explorer 55 Backpacking Backpack. This 55 liter pack lets you access your stuff through the drawcorded top and the zippered bottom and it has a divided sleeping bag compartment and a top lid to help keep things organized. The bendable aluminum frame bars adjust to contour to your shape perfectly while the Ergo-Fit shoulder harness and padded hipbelt help manage moisture and let you carry a heavy load quite comfortably. Fully featured for an ambitious trip, this High Sierra pack has ice axe / trekking pole attachment points, an internal hydration sleeve and even a removable media pocket on the shoulder strap so your camera is always ready to capture those amazing encounters with the furry locals – they like to stay away from the crowds near the trailhead also.

I'm 5'2" so I needed a shorter pack with good capacity. This pack is fully adjustable and very comfortable to carry. I used it for winter day hike carrying food, water and extra clothing along with my snowshoes and had room to spare.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value
Cons: no storage on hip belt
