Nano 7
May 20, 2012
I have owned 3 different hammocks and this has by far been my favorite. It packs down to roughly the size of a soda can. Very strong durable material. Very comfortable although it's smaller than other hammocks. I highly recommend the Nano-7
Awesome Hammock! Now with upgraded beaners!

I'm home from the AT for a few days for a family wedding. I decided to lighten my pack up with a few gear swaps while I was home. This hammock is great, I've slept in it both nights I've been home. Uber light, super packable, and weighs about nothing when paired up with my paracord slings. It's actually way more comfy than the other hammocks I've used (I've been hammock camping for the past few years now). The fabric seems to slightly stretch, eliminating the hard spot down the spine, and the shorter length is sweet for better fly coverage (I'm 6'2"). The beaners everyone has been griping about have been upgraded to climbing spec. I would have rather seen a titanium S hook, but I can do that myself some time. Don't think twice about this purchase if you don't like sleeping on the cold, hard, wet, ground!
Pros: ultralight, comfortableAmazing!

After reading reviews I decided I had to have this amazingly light hammock. I was a little concerned with the carabiner comment from another review, but called Grand Trunk directly and found out that the Nano-7 now comes with climbing grade carabiners from Mad Rock, which is great, because I use Mad Rock biners for climbing and now I have another set! I love this hammock.
Grand Trunk Nano Hammock

I had been looking for a hammock for those summer back-packing trips here in the Northwest. This one packs up easily into a stuff sack that is about 6 inches tall and 4 inches around. Seems to be quite durable, but it is a very light fabric. It comes with two carabiners that seem a little cheap, I may get a couple higher quality ones. Overall at great product.
