see-through pants in tan
March 29, 2012

Liked the pants, although they were a little baggy in the butt, but seeing undies is not so great. Maybe if he wore something other than whitey tighteys--or commando, as he likes in the summer. If you don't want to show all, choose something darker than tan. I was trying to duplicate another pair of absolutely wonderful pants by Columbia that are no longer available. He's wearing out his favorite tan convertible pants with the slanted back pockets--and they fit so cute. Darn.

Columbia Convertable Pants
March 13, 2012

Nice lightweight pants. Zip off legs make it easy to convert to shorts. Roomy pockets. These pants dry very quickly when wet wading. Perfect for warm weather fishing! Thanks Columbia..

Great Hiking Pants
May 23, 2011

Bought these pants for hiking the paria canyon. They were 32" in length for the large size. I got them tailored to 31". The pants worked great the entire trip. I never actually zipped off the pant legs. The pants dried quickly after each time I slogged the river. They protected my legs nicely for the times we hiked through brush and the canyons. The only downside is a belt is not included with the pants. My wife's pants from a different brand came with a thin black belt. I ended up using a belt that I had for my hockey girdle as all my other belts were too big for the loops.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value
Cons: no belt

Great hot weather pants.
April 22, 2011

I dont think that it can get hot enough for these pants. Even in Afghanistan. The material is very thin and with the elastic in the back of the waist, they are very comfortable. I have only had the pants for a month but I wear them all the time and the material is holding up very well for how thin they are, I would recommend these to any one that is looking for a light weight comfortable pants.

No real complaints, very lightweight. Bought for canoe trek in midsummer, so that will be real test. I am a difficult size 6'6" - so nothing ever fits me perfect. Thanks!

Nice fit not baggy
April 15, 2010

Nice pants. Light weight. True to size. Not 5 stars, because I like zippers on the sides so you can remove legs easily. These may be the most comfortable pants I own.I would recommend these. Spilled coffee with cream on them.It wiped right of with water.

Great hot weather pants

As a contractor in the Middle East, I have and wear these as uniform (rather than the thick and hot 511s issued to us) for work throughout Iraq and Afghanistan. There is no comparison in comfort and ease of movement and at the end of the day feel energy left over. The only problem is to find them in stock in the right size.
