Great work short! Very durable, well constructed and comfortable. This is the second pair I have purchased, based on how much I liked the first pair. Great for work, sports, traveling or casual dress. Sizing was perfect. Heavy duty cotton canvas takes work abuse and still holds up while looking great. Cell phone pocket is ideal, the other pockets are just the right size. Best value for the money. Would recommend them to anyone.

Very comfortable. The cell phone pocket is the perfect size for a smart phone. I'm 5'9" and most shorts are too long. These shorts have an 8.5" inseam and stop right at the top of my knee cap.

These shorts are very durable wash after wash. They hold up well after repeated grease and dirt stains and frequent washings. They are the best work shorts I have found.

Great hiking/climbing shorts

A bit shorter than I am used to but overall these worked out great for a weekend of hiking and rock climbing. I hiked about 3-5 miles and spent an entire weekend top roping and these held up great!

I have been a Carhartt fan for years. I wear their B144 shorts (several colors) all year long and I'm from New Hampshire. I only own 1 pair of dress pants and a suit (wife). Other than that it's Carhartt all the way. I was very pleased with my purchase from Altrec.com superior customer service, fast and accurate shipping. I will use Altrec.com for my Carhartt shorts from now on!

i wear shorts all year round have worn these shorts everyday for over a year (no joke). i work, hike, mt. bike, and do anything and everything in these shorts. i have been wearing these shorts for over a year straight and they are still going strong, a couple small holes but that is to be expected. i just bought a new pair to be my nice shorts.

I've worn these shorts just about everywhere and for everything. They're awesome for hiking, traveling, working or just hanging out. I am an avid outdoors person and I just need a good tough, durable pair of knock around shorts. This probably going to sound like an advertisement but, I've been wearing a pair of these for years and the only reason I am on this site is buy a few more pairs. They are comfortable and can handle yard work, landscaping, rock climbing, painting and going to a party with a bunch of friends. I literally wear them for just about anything. And I totally agree with Tyler above... I don't want to wear shorts that are down to my calves. A pair of shorts is supposed to sit above the knee. Also, I wear a pair of size 36's, all my other pants are a 34 waist. So, find a size slightly larger then your usual for these shorts.

The 9" inseam is ideal for those of us born before 1990, or to whom a pair of shorts means something knee height or above. I really like the cell phone pocket. But again I'd suggest getting a size bigger than normal, for me that means a 38 waist.
