Great Fit!
February 19, 2012
Good Fit! It was hard to find a helment that fit. Ordered up a size, because I was in the middle of the sizes. Good Choice!! The lining inside is nice and comfortable. The picture did not match the color of the lining I ordered but still super cute. I do not think that I will be able to wear the helment without the lining, which is ok for me. Excited to get out there and try it out!!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of useGood one for beginner

Very simple helmet and it is good for beginner. The size is a little smaller, so plz choose a larger one if you want one. Color is good and the pad is soft. Overall, a good helmet~
Pros: Performance, Ease of useNice helmet, but...

I just received this helmet and it is very cute, well made and fits nicely! The problem is that I primarily wanted it for skiing and there are no vent closures and the top of cap inside is very thin. It is often snowing when I ski and I can only assume that my head will be wet and cold wearing it. Looks great for sunny days and summer sports.
Pros: Build qualityPlaid Hunter Liner is smaller than it looks

I bought the helmet with the plaid hunter liner for my wife. In the pictures the liner looked like it would be bigger. But, when my wife actually put the helmet the liner on it didn't seem much bigger than the regular liner and it looked kind of goofy. We ended up returning it. I have used a bern helmet for 2 seasons now and I have hit my head pretty hard. So I can attest to the quality of the helmet. My wife actually bought a different bern helmet and she really likes it.
Pros: Build quality, Performance, Ease of useCute, affordable

I'd been looking at this helmet for some time, and finally decided to purchase it. I'm glad I did - it's very cute. None of those annoying/ugly black ear covers you see on most helmets. This helmet has an adorable grayish-blue liner with a fur trim, perfect for keeping warm on chilly days. The fit is great too! I was in between sizes, and went for the the larger of the two, and I'm glad I did. I haven't gotten to try this out yet, but friends of mine who have Bern helmets swear by them. So far, I'm a happy customer.
Pros: Ease of use, Great value, fur trim linerreceived wrong helmet, but love it

i ordered the "Lindsey Jacobellis w/ Grey Audio Visor" berkeley bern helmet and received a helmet that is not the one pictured on altrec.com. the helmet i received is purplish-grey color with a peacock feather and a bluish-grey liner w/visor... i am seeking the one with the blue birds and a black liner, so i traded it with my roommate, who let me wear it today and it is siiiickk :) :0 the audio ear muffs sound like surround sound and the audio control is easily adjustable and conveniently located on the wire and plugin on the back of neck. it was 7 below today and the helmet kept my skull warm, safe, and dry all powday :) the music was ideal--not plugged in my ears like buds, but instead added a nice subtle backgroundmusic to another great day. the bern is so light my neck felt fully supported (not bobbley), the vents are hardly noticeable with good circulation, although whistled a bit in high winds.../bombing, and it definitely held its own in a first run crash test :) i love this helmet. i hope i can get the one pictured on this website with the black liner and bluebirds... if not, i will purchase another style/design of the bern audio helmet. my roomie is equally stoked on the sweet deal. we vote: "best womens freeridin helmet out there"
Good helmet, misleading description

This is a nice-looking low-profile helmet. Great for multi-use (I will use for ski and bike). The liner is warm but the headband is a bit wrinkled in the forehead, causing irriation against the skin. I'm rather disappointed because I thought "completely adjustable operating plug/liner system" meant that the vents could be plugged. Instead, it apparently means that the liner can be moved to cover the vents (with a thin film of beanie). There were no "plugs" included. I thought I'd be able to close the vents, as in the Bern G2 (except not with a lever). Had to get the Berkely instead because the G2 doesn't come in small size. And I've yet to figure out how the goggle clip is "customizable" or what "twin clip" means -- I received two identical clips and there is only one place to attach a clip to the helmet. So I guess the other one is a spare? (No instructions came with the helmet and there are no instructions on the Bern website). Still, I recommend this quality helmet.
